Thank's everybody!!!

XAO!!

ufff what a pity!!!
I think parties at the terrace won't be the same, don`t you?

Thank's for your information!!

XAO!!!

To be honest with you i think it will be better. You'll have a better soundsystem, it will be open till 7 am. They have plans to experiment with djs after midnight which is exciting and then they are building other new rooms as well.

If you ask me its all very exciting.

Citizen Kaned doesn't agree with you!!

I keep changing my mind about whether it's more for the good/more for the bad!

I hope the new terrace won't have roof thus we can see the sun shining, the sound of the planes and the breeze of the wind...

XAO!!!

'bothered' what he/she/they thinks

I personally reckon it will be wickid. And what with mambo's hosting the new upstairs roof terrace imporving upon last year, space is going to be one amazing club and will shut all the doubters up and everybody will love it and just use space how its meant to be used - as a place where you can 'ave it' on a sunday afternoon :D

I hope you are right Robo!

Is Citizen Kaned a psudonym then? (sp? )

There was something special about Space on Sundays when it was 11.30, you knew there was only 30 mins left of music and you were just going mad for that last half hour.

I guess you'll get the same feeling when it's 6.30, but i'll probably be too wasted/knackered to realise

The good thing is there isnt going to be that mad rush to get there for the last hour in the terrace, so hopefully there will be a more evenly spread crowd through-out the night.

someone's gotta be.

I'm just sooo fed up of all the doom merchants and doubters about at the moment trying to piss in everyone's fire. ;) At least wait till its finished and opened, then criticise it (if you can)

confused at why personal opinions would be perceived as pissing on everyones fire

of course there are obvious pro's and con's but no one at all knows whether the pro's will outweigh the con's or not.

until such time everyone will continue to speculate, naturally.

I'm with you Rob, have some of the Moaning Minnies got nothing better to do, if you don't like the new Space, don't go, it's as simple as that. And as it came down to them either putting a roof on or no more Space forever RIP, then I know which one I'd rather have ;)

Guess I'll weigh in here - the open roofed terrace was great, especially whenever you got a breeze in there. The open air, the planes... I've never liked being inside Space, to be honest.

The central question is, will the new terrace somehow encapsulate some of the feeling of the old terrace while keeping Space in line with noise laws and letting them run the room later into the evening? The answer? We won't know until we try it!

So, too early to get elated about the change but no use lamenting the past either until we see what's in store.

The rooftop terrace or extra rooms aren't really that exciting. Pacha has them and I've made use of the terrace there to chill out but I rarely spend time in the other rooms.

p.s. Just looked at the design for the new terrace on the link above and it looks hot! It's like a slightly better-designed but nearly exact replica of the old terrace only with glass walls and ceiling! very cool 8)

Only the latest photos we've seen do not proffer confidence that this design can be achieved by June 5 8O

space are very good at what they do, hence all the awards they win each year, so I'm sure they will not let us clubbers down. The reason they are spending millions and doing up the club is to keep us wanting to come back year and year.

Exciting times ahead if you ask me, it will be like going to space for the 1st time all over again :D
