Remember when...

I still use my phone on holiday sadly. But agree about the TV and newspapers.

Never ever ever get why in IBZ people would watch the TV in their rooms. First thing I do is unplug it and put it in a cupboard if possible.

I do as well. When I arrive I turn it off, then every couple of days or so I turn it on again to ring the children, then I turn it off again and hide it in a shoe .

Dont get me going on mobile phone etiquette, or lack of it, thats worthy of another thread entirely.

whilst I agree to some point about keeping off the t'internet etc i had the funniest update from my son yesterday.... from Bora Bora

"Munted city. Guys making phone calls from shoes - Seriously..!!."

Mystery explained.

I have a girl from school on my FB that went to LA on friday last week. Since she has updated at least twice a day on her status and god knows how many pics and check ins shes done

I have used my phone abroad and it does wind me up, but I left it in my g/f bag most of the time this week. We have kids at home so had to be contactable to some degree, will be turning off in June though when I am with the lads 8)

People who cant distinguish between write / right - really wind me up ;)

I wish i hadnt used my phone on holiday. currently looking at £200 phone bill :(

I am fearing similar due to data roaming charges. Kept receiving a message saying I was over limit xxx, thinking "That cannot be right, I haven't used any data", dismissing it in the way you do in Ibiza. Only when back in Blighty did I realise all the photos and videos I took on my phone were automatically uploaded to google+

It's fair to say I'd rather read inane poolside tweets about crisp flavours than trawl through this thread.

ah , i turn off all data / internet type everything. mine is purely from repeated drunken calls trying to get through to ppl in clubs thinking they werent charged unless answerd but i think it charges whether they answer or not

i cant understand people who go on holiday just to sign on a computer in the hotel, the last thing i care about is my emails and whos saying what on facebook....freaks!!!

Have a cull and find some Swedish porn stars or something.

Who do you think those quotes were from ?

I have somehow been locked out of the dummy twitter account I was using to spy on various things .. and cannot get back on it ! So my problem is solved - I can no longer follow anyone. Phew - that was getting exhausting and monumentally boring !

If you worked for yourself you'd understand .. a daily check is essential as you can guarantee everyone wanting to cause mischief will wait until your feet hit foreign soil before they drop a bombshell. At least you can deploy anti-aircraft and avoid armageddon if you keep a watchful eye on things. As for facebook - definitely don't bother with that !!!
