If you are into jazz or some latin jazz go for BLUE NOTE TRIP II remixed by Maestro

Why not buy a subliminal or defected CD along with thousands of others safe in the knowledge your all listening to the same stuff. And then maybe sit down outside Mambo's and clap to it.

What and where is Mambo's?

I heard that Cafe Mambo is really famous and they play music and people do like fire shows outside of it.

Are we taking about the same Mambo, Stuie?

I dont live there, so take it easy on me......

Mambo is one of the 3 "most popular" cafées on the socalled Sunset Strip. Its located just out towards the sea where u can sit, have a nice...ah well, dinner.....have some sangria and chill, whilst listening to the DJ play and see the sun setting. As the sun drops its last rays of light into the ocean, tradition will have it that people (sometimes stand up and) clap. The 3 cafees at the strip who do the clapping thing are Mambo´s , Savannah and Cafe del mar. At cafe del mar you can "only" have drinks, no food.

I suggest u go and see the place yourself, the first time is always magical, the atmosphere is great and there are a LOT of hotties m/f to look at! I love the place but became a tad fed up with it this year, maybe because I´ve been there so many times now.

Food and a bottle of wine will set you back approx. 40 euros IF you choose starter, main course, a drink b4 dinner and then wine.

I hope this info was helpful, if you need more info dont hesitate to ask and I´ll do my best to provide you with info, ok?

take care!

I don't really understand why every post I see you make does nothing but criticise a particular sound / place etc.

If you don't like certain styles of music, don't comment on them.

You have as much right as the next person to be into a certain sound, but to openly slate others is very narrow-minded.

It's just boring seeing the same sheep talking about the same dodgy records. Has no one got any music taste ?? I mean that Steve Winwood record actually made me laugh out loud when I heard it.

You lot really cant think some of this stuff is good. Its the house equivalent of Blazing Squad !!

And Stu - if you can chart something or say 'this is great' - I have as much right to give my opinion and say its not. So if its OK by you I will continue to comment.

and what makes them dodgy records? Just because you personally don't like them?
You'll also have to define "taste" to me. Is taste only the kind of stuff you're into?

It's the narrow-mindedness of a lot of dance music that's seen it die on its arse.

For gods sake Stu - your supposed to be a DJ - you cannot seriously tell me that something like that ca*acky Steve Winwood stuff or the 'Let The Sunshine Through' is a quality record. Regardless of who is listening to it , taste or not.

And I'm not narrow minded - I like a lot of stuff from Jazz through to Techno - as long as its good.

Its like comparing Gareth Gates with U2.

And personally I dont want to go out and hear the same bad records and pay for the privilege.

All in my opinion of course . ;)
