Just a had a brainstorm8O...I reckon it would be good to share our tips for a quick munch up when you can't be arsed cooking but need some fuel to keep you rolling.8) Grub wise of course.;)

I tried this on the recommendation of my brother in law the other day.

Toast some ciabatta bread, rub a garlic clove into it , squeeze a tomato over it then lash it with olive oil....Job done...8) Add fav meats, fish etc for personal tastes.

Anymore like this...

Reckon we could all benefit from fellow spotlighters quick tuck tips.:)

This is called Pa amb tomàquet, and it's catalan main contribution to gastronomy
You can't beat it with proper Jamón Serrano ;)

Nice one Silvia I will have a look;)... Tell you what tho, I replied to a post on here called "about you" and one of the questions was can you cook (yes i know this isnt cooking) however,

I have stopped smoking this year (although prone to a smoke with a glass of wine etc) and want to go full on in the health stakes. I drink one night a week now and even then not that much. Anyways, I finish work very early most days and need to stock up on information about healthy snack stuff that is easy to knock together...also want my kid eating good food as they grow up so I gotta get my arristottle into gear with learning about good quality grub....8)

Anymore anyone???:)

Jon makes a special pasta which always goes down a treat after a heavy weekend. You need:

4 rashers bacon
onion
mushrooms
peppers
1 clove garlic
can of tomatoes
2 cups white wine
pasta

Basically peel everything and chuck it in a pan, after 5mins add the tomatoes and wine. Whilst this is cooking start boiling some pasta, then once its cooked, serve! It tastes lovely, takes only 30mins to cook and has LOADS of goodness in it :D

Prawns
Olive Oil
I garlic clove
Chillies
1 red pepper
Pure Orange juice
Egg Noodles (Or you can do rice)

Chop the chillies & garlic, or use a pestle & Mortar and stir fry for 3 mins with the prawns and red pepper (the pepper should be chopped into pieces).

Add orange juice at the end to get the consistency of sauce, hardly any for a coating, more for a gloopy sauce and serve with the noodles. Ad soy sauce if required...

Takes 4 mins on the hob and 2 mins of prep time.

See you in 6 minutes.....

good choice, cooking is very theraputic I do a majority of it in our house and mr oliver has been an inspiration when it come to cooking simple tasty dishes!

this is a little belter of a recipe:

Pasta
Sun Dries Toms
Red Onions
Garlic
Chilli (if you like a bit of heat!)
Balsamic Vinegar
Basil
Parmesan

Fry off the onions until tender (about 5 mins), add the garlic, chilli and the toms for a couple of mins then add the balsamic vineger, drain off the pasta add to the pan with the other ingredients coat the pasta and serve with fresh basil and a grating of parmesan.................delish!;) 8)

Pan fried skate wings (dipped in seasoned flour and milk first)
Mashed potato with fresh basil, leek & cheese
Veges in parsley sauce.

Yummy.

Bake red peppers and aubergines in the oven. Just wash them and place in the tray at 180º for about 30 - 45 minutes till the peppers are soft and tender. Once they are cold peel them off and you can keep it in the fridge for weeks. It's perfect with toast and cheese; toast and boiled egg; toast and anchovy; toast and tuna. And it's 100% natural and 0% fat.
