booked a 3 night mini break in paris for the g'fs birthday, going on thursday!!

staying close to gare du nord!!

today the missus has spoken to a "french" colleague who has as much as told her that its a really bad area to stay and now she's shitting herself and asking all sorts of questions about it!!

so not only has this prick made me look like I dont know how to book a f***ing holiday, my missus is now dreading what was meant to be a really nice experience for the both of us!!!

I now have the job of persuading her otherwise, as well as make sure my desk is clear for 4 days!!! like i need this shit?? :evil: :x :evil:
 
Or one that can handle herself.

Apparently it's the Kings Cross (i.e. without the good bits like clubs and stuff, but loads of crack whores, murders etc, and it's on the outskirts) of Paris.

Don't let me put you off tho...

its not bad at all....I stayed there one night with a laydeeee I met, on my last trip to Paris.
it didn't seem especially seedy to me...mind you, maybe that's just me...! 8O 8) :lol:

sorry I didn't meet up with you guys yesterday - really really busy day!

how was Zigfried? what was that first place you went to ? Jamie said its the new Royal Oak!!

Jjinit - seriously, I wouldn't worry about it, its not like its Pigalle...!

I was looking forward to a Sync catch-up as well ;)

Yay it's The Macbeth aka the new Royal Oak, less grimey than the Oak but the same bodies on the floor, the same drug dealers etc etc, you get my drift :lol: ;) The basement in Zigfried is blinding as well on a Sunday, proper going off electro style-eeeee, we'll have to arrange a Sunday date sometime soon ;)

reallly?? Bugger - sounds brilliant! I'd be well up for that! I'm actually doing a course at the moment, and was knee deep in books, that's why I couldn't come out really...I'm making an exception for the lovely Sil this week though... 8O ;) :lol: 8) :D

I booked the hotel because of it's proximity to gare de nord & montmarte!! and yes babs, a bit of seediness is good, nowt wrong with a bit o'brass!!! ;)

Yay it's not the Oak but where is :lol: but definitely a good Sunday subsitute ;) Have you been to the Oak since the 'refurb', me and Jamie popped into say hi last Saturday and almost shed a tear at the clean and wholesome-ness of the place :roll:

So are you looking forward to your hot date with Sil, are the Barcelona ladieeeeez ready for the Sync-meister 8O :lol: ;)
