Re: Fireworks in Ibiza!

I came across a picture of some fireworks that were being shot over the water in Ibiza.......and I was wondering if anyone knew what they were for? I know you don't have to have a reason to ignite fireworks...but they are generally used for celebration purposes! When, besides New Years, would I see fireworks in Ibiza? Any holidays or festivals that come to mind? If so, am I likely to see them end of July-beginning of August?
The picture looks beautiful!

it's to celebrate the 'liberation' of ibiza from the moors. it's sounds quite a glorious affair but the real story would make a good plot for a film which involved treachery, a woman, and secret tunnels.
san cyriac is the patron saint of ibiza for his deeds in returning it to chritianity and a mediterranean backwater for 750 years.
goodness knows what will happen to our saviour paul oakenfold when his toes curl up!
