*** Radio 1 Weekend 2012 ***

Its pretty bad that you cant pick them up for other people in your group if you have their ticket with you. Isnt that proof enough? But i suppose people could just flog them on and they will want to avoid that.
Such a shame, as i'd ask someone to pick mine up for me using my tickets (and i'd sort them out for doing it) but clearly they wont allow that? i arrive literally 5 hours too late, could go there on the Friday and say my flight was delayed? :?

ok mate thanks. i'll PM you my number. I'd say if they are giving them out the day before the event then they wont put them on your wrists as theres a risk you may lose them/forget what they are and rip them off in a drunken state etc.
I dont know how it worked last year for wrist bands?
im going to try and get them Thursday night depending what time the Ushuaia Shop closes? or friday morning nice and early. I think its a disclaimer on thier part sayin
"If you do not get wristbands between these times you will not get entry" etc.
who knows.
if im unsuccessful, i'll arrange to meet you, where you staying?

Last year they were put on your arm in a way that u couldn't get it off without cutting and if it looked like it had been cut u couldn't get in apparently. Some people must have wangled their way around it maybe theirs wasn't put in so tightly but I couldn't get mine off at all.... I didn't even really want to go but the queue in pdb was short and I was there at the time so I thougt let's have a look. I didn't stay long the music was pretty grim 2 bears bear hug live being a particular low point lol hopefully better this year I did want to get tickets for a nosey again but no way am I opening twitter while on hols it would mean I end up paying for the tickets through my phone bill lol

I know what wrist bands you mean, once they are on, they can only be removed through being cut off. i'll just check my girlfriends twitter and try that way. My only option. Im tempted to just go to the Ushuaia shop in PDB on the friday morning with my ticket too.

such a sh*t way of doing this! my holiday has been booked for over 6 months, i applied on 3 different email addresses and was unsuccessful on them all. 2 of the girls i work with havn't even booked their flights or accomodation and have managed to get 4 tickets for them and their friends who are not even sure if they will be going! luck of the draw i guess but a shame for people in my shoe's who have been looking forward 2 this for months and now might not be able 2 go! :(

I have a friend who like DanRaver doesn't get there until after the ticket collection. If it was done in the old way of queue prior to the event for a ticket he wouldn't have got one, now he stands a chance due to the fact I'm there earlier and will be picking wristbands up (hopefully I can grab 2 / let someone get the other for me). He booked his hol as he wanted to do this but could only go out late on the thurs.

It's swings and roundabouts as to whether the way it's been done is good or not.
 
You don't actually find out wen you can claim the wristbands until you actually get granted a ticket as that's when it gives you dates and times. let's see what happens :)

It did say on the email you received to confirm you'd applied that you would have to be on the island from Wednesday onwards.
I hope you manage to get a ticket at some point pal

As stated above, for the free event on the Friday at Ushuaia you will be able to get some on the Friday of the event although I don't think there will be many available.

Times, locations etc of these tickets will be revealed on the day via BBCR1 twitter account.

Tickets for this aren't for sale but you can buy them for the Saturday event as shown by Nostrum.
 
Does anyone have any spare tickets?
There is a group of 9 of us wanting to go but we only managed to get 4tickets from BBC.

Will try and get some on the Friday when we are out there but I know chances are slim.

Desperately seeking 3 tickets for Radio 1 at Ushuaia!!!
I've been really lucky to get tickets for Radio 1 but am also gutted. We really need 3 more tickets. We'll be at the Ushauia merchandise store on the Wednesday if anyone has spares, there's at least some tequilas in it for anyone who is good enough to help us. We've been planning this all year, we even planned to go to Mambo's from 3am which is basically when we arrive in San An only to find Radio 1 have changed the system again ... Bring back Ibiza Rocks.
