*** Radio 1 Weekend 2012 ***

Hmmm, that's is a interesting line-up on the Saturday, if only because I wonder how Amnesia feel about possibly their biggest brand, not to mention a good chunk of the acts from this season's Together crossing the road.

Seems odd why Cream are affliated at all tbh. None of those names screams out Cream, although some of the acts have/will be playing the terrace.

Yeh exactly what i thought! I bought early bird tickets for come together on the tuesday and 3/4 djs from the main room will be at the radio1 event (friction, c&s, sub focus) will be interesting to see what the final line up!

How many rooms are there at priviledge mate? Havent been for a few years!
Apart from maybe Alesso and Ingrosso they are far from Cream DJ's!

Interesting!

You gonna be over there for this weekend?

This year, BBC Radio 1 will be returning to Playa De'n Bossa in Ibiza - kicking off with another huge free Radio 1 party on Friday 3 August at the beautiful Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel.

Radio 1 DJs Danny Howard, Rob Da Bank, Annie Mac and Pete Tong will be bringing you the biggest party on the island.

Plus live performances from some of the hottest acts right now:
DJ Fresh
Redlight
Disclosure
Axwell
Maya Jane Coles
Eats Everything
Pete Tong bk2bk Joris Voorn
and more to be announced.

It's going to be a special night you won't want to miss. If you will be in Ibiza on Friday 3 August, register below now.

There will be 1500 pairs of tickets available. Due to the popularity of this show we are operating a random draw for tickets.

You can apply for tickets at any time until Saturday 14 July at 5pm.

You can apply for a maximum of one pair of tickets.

Good luck with your application.

Potential nightmare this is. Pool party is always a good day, now it's all luck of the draw gonna kill me not being in there

Yeh it could be a good/bad thing! Hopefully not many know they have to apply and then its too late ;)

Has anyone applied with different email addresses? Do you think this would make any difference and increase chances?

Ive applied with 3 different email address and just used one of my brothers names when sending in the other two applications.

First year I've decided to go for Radio 1 weekend and they change the format for getting tickets. Gutted
!

sent in an application for myself and two friends. fingers crossed!
Went for radio one weekend last year but didnt go to the pre party. looks worth going!

interesting way to allocate tickets. how many people will apply now on the off chance they will make it to Ibiza (even however unlikely) and not go. then you have touts etc. presumably there will be a cut off time to get in, then first come first in type scenario - looks very messy to administer.

it doesnt lend itself to going along with a group of friends very well. Some might be lucky some wont, so were does that leave you as a group!

I don't get how you think its messy to administer?

You apply for tickets by this Saturday, find out next Saturday of you have been successful.
If you have then you need to collect them on the Wednesday before the event in Ibiza.

Thought the website said they are e-mailing them out electronically this year .. and that they are non-transferable :?:

I definitely read somewhere whilst looking at it this weekend that you had to be in Ibiza to pick them up on the Wed before. (guessing you'll need the e-ticket to use as proof to collect)

Just looked on the BBC website & you do swap the e-ticket for a pair of wristbands.

@evolution I have applied for myself, gf and got a few mates to do it for me, if i get more than one pair id be more than happy to give them to anyone on here who needs them.

@DANRAVER yeh i thought that about the sasha event because on the ushiaua website they are still on sale! Worst case scenario if i get no tickets for radio 1 then ill buy sasha lol they gotta let ya in on that date i suppose even though sasha isnt playing

Im hoping that this isnt too well advertised lol! Harsh but fair!

This defo wont have as big application as their big weekenders etc.

1500 pairs available, say 15000 applicants, 1 in 10 chance really :(

Shame you have to be out there on the wednesday 1st August to collect. I dont arrive til the Thursday night and theres no chance there will be any wrist bands left by then :(

In theory if ya get a ticket you should be able to get a wristband,
I get there about 11am on wednesday so im hoping i could still get them!
If i do get a few accepted then ill try and pick ya up some wristbands mate

But if you have tickets for sasha, surely you could still get in?!

I cant see them accepting Sasha tickets as its spotlights issue for selling them, Ushuaia have changed thier event calender so that covers them.

They have aready stated that they are issuing more tickets than wristbands and its first come first served for the bands.
That removes all hope for me as they will be gone by wednesday.

I require a band for myself and two friends (both ibiza virgins and really want to experience Ushuaia, and had tickets for Sasha, only to find out that party doesnt exist on that date!)

If you could sort some bands, we could come to an agreement 8)

Will see what i can do for you mate, lets hope we get drawn in the draw and then hatch a plan.

I cant see them giving out too many more tickets than their are wristbands otherwise they will end up with the big queues that it seems they want to avoid this year, i just think any that arent picked up by official ticket holders will be released after wednesday. Im just gonna be dumping my cases in the hotel and getting my a** round to pick up wristbands!

Where did ya see that its first come first served for wristbands?? Couldnt see that on either the radio 1 event page or the application page! Would be pretty gutting if you were drawn in the random pick and then couldnt get a wristband.

Does my ticket guarantee me a seat?

Unfortunately your ticket does not guarantee you a seat on our shows where the tickets are complimentary. As these tickets are free, people often request more than they need, so we have to issue more tickets than there are seats available to allow for this.
We do consider carefully how many extra tickets to issue for each show, but we recommend that you arrive in good time to be sure that you are not disappointed. Entry into the show is on a first come, first served basis.

Pretty bad eh?
