Radio 1 Ibiza Essential Mixes

Pete Tong's Essential Mix Fri night from Pure Pacha was very good. Groovy and nice pumpin beats, enjoyed :)

Have to agree with you there my friend. And DJ Oliver from La Troya was pretty spanking too! (Though they kept referring to it as a gay club and I didn't get that impression from being there!)

Here's the link folks in case it hasn't already been posted, which they probably have!

Ok, having heard the whole 16 hours of essential mixes, I think without doubt the best set came from DJ Oliver at La Troya. Followed by Digweed and Cox.

Worst was probably Jules', but in terms of mixing it has to be Oakie.
I've really enjoyed everytime ive seen him this year, and I think he does choose decent tracks, but his EM last saturday night has to be one of the biggest disasters ive heard in a while

I had to turn off at some points as I was cringing too much!!

have to agree. ive recorded them all onto my pc's hard drive (can upload if anyone wants them) and i was expecting a good set from oakey. It was terrible mixing wise. Basic beat matching was out. tracks coming in from nowhere unmatched - listen to it you will no what i mean. Was very disappointed to hear this.

Loved the lisa lashes they replayed from judgment sunday - bit guttering that i was there and now sitting in sunny england relistening to the night :(

i heard oakie in turnmills a while back, and he clanged his way through the entire set. and he had an awful waistcoat and haircut. and everyone was still chanting his name. pissed me right off!
