Radio 1 Ibiza 2006

Radio 1 in Ibiza will happen on the weekend of Friday 11th,Saturday 12th and Sunday the 13th of August
Also Judgement Sunday opening is Sunday the 11of June
 
damn were out there the week before, .....well if anything looks exiting on the R1 weekend we may stay on a few days for that, went to the private party a couple of years back and had a great afternoon!
 
Radio 1 weekend was a blast last year - it was sunny and gorgeous the whole week.

Has there ever been a Radio 1 weekend when it rained? I'm seriously considering doing Ibiza again for Radio 1.
 
Im desperate for this info, where is your source from, as apart from last year it was maily the 1st week???

agree paris, been there for 3 or 4 radio 1 wknds and its always been glorious (partly cos its in august).

there is a always a special vibe for radio 1 wknd, almost like the typical party island goes 10 steps further (its like a summer christmas time with extra-special festivities and everyone making an extra effort to go out and have more fun - from a workers point of view anyway)
 
oh great thats when FAITHLESS are out there ...thats so unfair my other half is out there then ...i always miss out

think that was 2005 Candy - they did Ibiza Rocks on fri the 12th
 
Great news!

Been to Ibiza 7 times so far and twice (2004 & 2005) in Radio 1 weekend.
I can definitely say that its the best time to go, especially with the downside of the early club closing times in june/september!

Who can confirm this?

yeah definitely, last R1 weekend every PR that was supposed to be working were just wrecked on Mambos beach dancing to Pete Tong :lol: :lol: 8)

realy doubt it to be honest, will doubt if you see faithless do may gigs anywhere anymore, they were saying last year that they were starting to chill out a bit more as therey were getting to old for it all.

last year it was over the whole weekend - Pete Tong did his Essential Selection live from Mambos (the sunset bar) and there were crowds of people on the beach...they had a saturday afternoon BBQ on Mambo's beach with Ron Da Bank and Chris Coco, this was a warm up for the evening event at Space which was loads of DJs including Laurent Garnier...Sunday saw Dave Pearce doing his Dance Anthems slot, in Cafe Mambos again :D
 
The Subliminal Sessions at Pacha during Radio 1 weekend was a hoot, as well. The Brazilians were hijacking every cab they could to get to that event - they said I had to go that night, that the other nights at Pacha suck. There was definitely a great vibe going on during the weekend.
 
Brilliant, I hope your right on this one Stevie. I've always missed out on the R1 weekend because we have always booked the two weeks before. I,m normally on the way to the airport when the R1 parties start to kick in.

This year we have booked later than normal (arrive the 6 August). Thought we would have well missed it. What a bonus!
