PvD "Global" cd

Did anyone think that for the first time PvD's mixes sounded kinda...well, amature in a way? Like, he could've done much better in terms of creativity? I don't know, they just sounded kinda weird to me, like, it's not PvD's real style, you know?

I was listening to the Global CD a few days ago. I usally get a better feel for the CD after listening to it a couple of times. I wasn't paying too much attention to the mixes. So far I'd say 'Global' was uplifting and nostalgic.
