guys,

just 'cos it might not be your cup of tea, does not mean other peopl won't enjoy it.

if you have nothing positive to say about a topic, don't contribute.

surely you can't mean that!

whatever happened to weighing up the pros and cons?

and the sharing of good and bad experiences?

there's a difference between negativity/ciriticism and constructive criticism. I think james wants the latter. There's nothing constructive aboout the posts here.

;)

exactly. what we have on spotlight's forum is a minute cross section of ibiza life. if i was soft enough to believe what i read on here based on the opinion of about 15 almost identical people i would never ever visit ibiza. anybody who dares to post an opinion which doesn't suit the views of our regular denizons is immediately pounced upon as some sort of pariah.
our aim is to give information about ibiza - what's good for some is bad for others - that's life.
please try to be constructive.

and nitefly i deleted your post about es paradis becasue it was a totally worthless reply to a genuine question for help and advice from a newby who probably doesn't know as much as an experienced ibiza person like you.

I actually think that the forum is an accurate cross section of Ibiza club life. Sadly i don't think that people who travel to the island for activities other than clubbing would bother posting on a forum on any scale.

I think the mods must realise this because the links at the top of the forum are always club reviews and club news. The other news stories from the main site never get highlighted there.

that's absolutely and unfortunately true. that does not mean however that anybody who happens to post about anything or anywhere not favoured by the chosen few should be subjected to a public execution!

i agree totally and I've recieved the execution before because I still love Manumission, which most on here regard as less than cool these days

i was just surprised to see james' post as i thought discussing positives/negatives of things was what discussion forums are for :?:

(obviously not referring to stupid comments! ;) )

But to be honest, comments like "woohoo  " aren't exactly constructive are they? Es Paradis isn't my cup of tea now, but I certainly went there when I was 18 and had a good little boogie to some cheesey tunes  , and a lot of Ibiza newbies might like it, and if they're asking on this forum for advice, they should get constructive answers at least :D

think i saw on their website a flyer for their next event with Yousef and Greg Vickers headlining the 2 main rooms.....

.....they could very yet surprise the doubters

sorry folks, but it was a monday, i tend to lack any kind of positive thinking on a monday and boat parties and es paradis reminded me more of the things i don't really like about san an. added to that the fact nitefly had posted, i was just continuing the banter, but as its been taken the wrong way, please accept my apologies! For the record, I think everyone should go get wet at Es Paradis!

if nitefly put his finger in the fire would you?

my teacher, mrs. wilton, used to say this to me in 1958, though obviously she didn't use the name nitefly as in those days it was considered an odd name, and i could never fathom out why she said it.

i only been es paradis once my friend who im taking 2 ibiza for first time in june wants 2 go so will go and see what its like :)
