I have used a few of these before ....... Insert Embarassed smiley

Another one people use. XYZ DJ's (LIVE) Meaning they have made there set before they left the house on Ableton and will just trigger play and stop using a controller.

More on the door - meaning please by a ticket because it looks like no ****er is gunna turn up.

Buckers - As with John D ( wont mention his full name although he desrves it) i remember your DSI wars with him, bloke is a grade A tosspot and i cant believe he used to do things at the Cross, seems to off ripped a few people off and spammed a few million in his time. Theres a few promoters though i can think of that are similar.

i would actually say that using the strategy of charging more on the door is a valid one from a promoters point of view. Encouraging the punters to buy tickets earlier (and obviously offering the cheaper tickets as an incentive) helps the promoter massively in terms of cash flow. Especially crucial to smaller nights.

from that blog another classic offender -
"A DJ bio isn't complete unless it includes the phrase “strength to strength”

add "one to watch" and "causing a stir on the underground scene" , err no your not and why is this in the 3rd person when your writing it yourself? kn0bber

Who's recent track X has received support from a lot of Foreign Superstars who played it once and allow no recourse to actually ask them if they like it. And Laurent Garnier. Always Laurent Garner.

"Residents Special" = "Look, it's a regular night, but Morillo/Sasha/God is playing over the road, no-ones going to come, but we've got to put something on"

On a Hidden (ex Chunnel club?) flyer, it stated the 'building' had gone through a multi-million pound refit, though on closer inspection it was due to the hug office refit that developers were doing to an adjoining (above iirc) office space :lol:

I think I could be here all day. The crimes of a funky house past are catching up on me!

"Competition winner" on the line up is always good. You've won the chance to play to an empty club at 9.30pm and not get the 20p a head you'd have got if you'd sent a demo and said you'd bring some mates.

ahhh the saga of the last nye at the cross , fond memories of the war zone esque queue to get in on nyd at 6am after being at Canvas. Somehow managed to get in but seemed it all kicked off bigstyle that morning. Weirdly it wasnt like it was stupidly packed inside tho

I almost wished I'd been there to see the monumental f-up, but it would ultimately the chap who did it still will have made a killing!:spank:

This is Blackpool afterall, when it first opened when i started going that had some great lineups on. Slowly gone downhill over the years and seem to have the same Djs playing the same time on a yearly cycle now.

The one that pisses me off beyond all is when someone uses the word "luminaries" e.g. "has played with such house / techno luminaries as..."

:spank:

Also along these lines I've seen my name mentioned on a few DJ bios as having played the same event as them. Not on the same night of course but they've played the same event...

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
