Privilege's lack of decent events

Hopefully and I guess so. Well so long as it was like how I saw it in 2013 where it was full on and rammed (just like the woman on the stage with the black guy :D:eek::oops: ), and not the sad effort I saw in 2015.

Is supermartxe a decent night to go to? We've been to Matinee and La Troya in the past, neither event does much for me musically but we need to go to gigs that appeals to my other half otherwise we'd be at Amnesia / Pacha etc for duration of our holiday :D

Supermartxe has been very quiet since closing last year no events in Madrid over the winter hopefully if it does return it will have a bit of a reboot mcrackin mentioned somewhere about a new party called exit he mentioned it had something to do with both matinee and supermartxe. With matinee no longer having a Saturday home could be possible could be a smart move for both I think both struggled a bit last year with both closing earlier than had originally been planned

It's good fun when it's at it's best you wouldn't go for the music

We really enjoyed it the first time we saw it in June 2013. I'm not sure if we saw an extra special night as some friends who went later that year said it was just some dancers on stage, not the full on show with guys, girls, bdsm, midgets in robot suits with laser beams and lots more! It was all set to some great music tracks (mostly edm progressive which was a good fit for the show).

If they do shows like that again I'm sure it would beat matinee or the likes.

I have some pics and videos of the night but not sure what the forums rules are on that kind of content :spank:

I went last July for Chuckie and Chris Brown. It was busy but room to move around. Not much in the way of performers, but I came pretty damn late, like after 4 AM. I only saw the 3 nude chicks that only had body paint on.

Was hopping for more good event happening in privilege , don't get me wrong , Tuesday and Thursday are really good news for me , something exciting in privilege that many were waiting for but could we except another good residency for this summer ?
Just check the calendar and still 3 night to fill , any news ?

I think this will be a stronger year for Privilege however I don't think Resistance and Afterlife will have that much of a pull to bring Privi back to being one of the islands leading clubs.

And the 2 Coxy dates will likely sell out but then again that's no different to when Privi had the annual one of Radio One bash each August.

So how do others think this season will go?

I disagree - I think afterlife and resistance {sasha and digweed} do have a big pull. plus we are yet to see what other events will be announced by the privilege gang.

speaking as someone who is young and has only been going to ibiza for a few years, I have always wanted to see privilege. constant poor lineups/parties have mean't it just wasn't an option

I think a lot of people like me have been waiting for the chance to go to privilege, and now we have solid parties making it worth going. I think (and hope) they have a strong season.

I think this season will be about putting privilege back on the ibiza clubbing map.

while I don't think they're going to have a blockbuster season, I am convinced that the appearance of coxy and all the artists playing resistance and afterlife (and events still TBA??) will greatly help to make people aware about privilege and make a lot of people considering going to a club they've not been to for a long time...or in the case of the younger crowd, maybe not been ever yet!

I can't tell the details yet, but they have made (and are still making) some interesting changes inside the venue.

Really wish I could go and see Priv as I'm in the young category who has never been! Shame no decent events are on while I'm there which is very annoying, I seem to be going too early for any of the good events! All I have is afterlife opening, which while its good is only Vista and my other half would not enjoy the darkness!!

If vista is the old room I'm thinking it is then it's the best part and not dark big windows or am I wrong?

Afterlife is pretty melodic deep tech in parts. Patrice Baumel doesn't play too dark, but I can see Tale of Us heading down that dark territory.

Yeah it's the whole atmosphere that I don't think she would like, the night is made as a deep/dark night even down to the upside down body hanging from the roof!! The odd act may play a more melodic set but its still a dark atmosphere and it's certainly not an uplifting happy style of music if you get my drift

Either of the Cox nights would have been perfect for us with with a nice mix of Techno and the softer stuff but it's after we leave :spank:
