Privilege - Life in Colour Closing Party

Just back from another fantastic week in Ibiza. There was something I had to mention. Last month I purchased a ticket for Life in Colour closing party at Privilege - Wednesday 9th September 2015. About 2 weeks ago Ibiza Spotlight emailed me which said:

Dear.........

"According to Privilege Ibiza, this event is not going to take place anymore. Therefore, Ibiza Spotlight have fully refunded your purchase of party tickets for Life in Color on 9th Sept. Bear in mind that a refund can take up to 5 business days to be back in your bank account. Please, find alternative options for that night on our Party Calendar."

You can imagine my surprise when I got the Disco bus on Wednesday 9th and saw dozens of people getting off at Privilege and at 4am - 5am getting on again covered in paint. Does that mean the closing party was not cancelled? Were the emails sent out by mistake? I hope they still had a good turnout that night.


I can't complain because I used the refund and went to Ushuaia on Thursday instead. The place went nuts. Great party!!!

The promoters 'Life in Colour' changed their mind and held their closing party a week early on the 2nd. However, as it's a very busy night for Privilege, they hosted their own paint party. The replacement party wasn't official until a few days before it happened which is why the event wasn't put on the spotlight calendar etc.

no error, LIC closing was indeed one week early. and as jordan says above, privilege held another paint party on wed and will do next wednesday too.

Thanks. I thought these parties were arranged months in advance, and that every date was booked up solid with a secure line-up and back up plan if or when promoters have to change their dates around.
