the intrepid agent MrKiki spoke this afternoon with one of the guys from privilege and he told him some of the bands the club is trying to book for the summer (including some big ones ;) ) so seems definitive now: live bands every friday!! :D

among other things he also said that they plan to open the last saturday of june (like last year), which means june 25th :!:

i've got lots of juicy gossip, but my hands are tied at the moment.

fridays should be great fun though! and rumours are of big bands in the main room on monday too.... 8O

some months ago andy said, among other things, this:

"I believe that the next progression for Ibiza is mixing dance music with live music, and the fusion between them. We need to build up the live scene here because until it gets bigger we're not going to get that exciting fusions of DJs and live."

"We're going to adapt and move and change and survive and don't be surprised if that means there are radical changes in the future. We're gonna' do what we think is right to keep the party going."

Well well, Manumission. Not the impression they made last year this time around but Sister is told they plan to have not one but TWO nights next year. Putting on Live gigs. This is a another symptom of Andy and Dawn MacKay’s new obsession when every new. Gone are the days of non-famous names, hilarious attempts at ‘shows’ and good old fashioned pretend-sex to bring in the monkeys. It’s all badly chosen bands, ‘electro’ (sorry, but on it’s own without a break it’s as bad as trance :twisted: ) and comical house acts. At least you’ve still never heard of the DJs which is some comfort except it’s not.

its fun the first time, but quite touristy! the show isnt as good anymore but its a huge place and a must-see! so go´have fun. Yeah they do have closing parties!

I'd just recommend hanging out in the side rooms and bars, in particular the Music Box where all the best music can be found. They've had some amazing djs and bands there recently (The Rapture, The Faint, Ewan Pearson and of course Optimo!)

The show is an experience but I found it too busy and when you've seen one pair of tits...

In 2004 Manumissions closing was on 20th September and Privilege (the venue) closed a few days after.

no, noone knows the dates yet. They will be released much later on in the year. Last year the manumission confirmation didnt come til later than most. The manumission closing will be roughly just after the 20th september I would imagine. The Privelige closing will be at the very end of september as the venue closing is different to the night closing.
