His last album was good but this one is truly back to form! 8)

The man is amazing! 8O Anybody agree?

I hope he tours with it.
 
Thought I'd reply to this so you're not feeling lonely :lol: ;)

I've not actually heard his latest album, I love all his early stuff , I've always been a bit put off by his more recent stuff, kind of one of those 'once were Geniuses now it's all gone horribly Wrong' kind of people :? But I'll take your recommendation and listen to his latest offering ;)

Yes that is the general feeling about Prince isn't it?

But I really loved Musicology too!...The albums in between were also good but not quite Sign of the times or Lovesexy.

Not sure about the 'gone horribly wrong' bit though. :? Applied to Michael Jackson I can understand - but Prince? :?

Grrr to your flat delays too - I know exactly how you feel on that one. :evil:

I have all his albums till Lovesexy, he was my idol when I was 16 :oops: :lol:
 
The missus is a huge Prince fan (we once went to Minneapolis for a wedding and I had to drive her over to see Paisley Park :lol:).

She got the new album today and it's on constant rotation. I've never been a huge fan since way back in the Purple Rain era, with the exception of a song here or there, but I will say that the new album is definitely a return to form.

I liked what I heard from Musicology too, though the style there was a bit different and I haven't heard the whole thing.
 
4 months later but :oops: :oops:

I got the new album last week and I'm sooo pleased and surprised, how good it is? The little man is in top form again, he is back to his best sound and now it's all about cross fingers for a new gig :D

Silv, Prince is the one artist I would quite happily pay hundreds of pounds to see in concert :lol: I'm a huge fan and have never seen him :cry:

Oh Kang, he was my idol when I was 16, me and my friend sent him birthday cards every year :oops: :lol:
I saw him on 1990 (or so) and it was an exploding moment after an exploding moment :lol:
My fav albums are around the world in a day and Dirty mind :twisted:

Actually I'm very proud of myself, cos most of my friends at age 16 were sending birthday cards to Eros Ramazzotti and Rick Ashley, at least I had good fine taste :lol: :lol:

Isn't he doing some Willy Wonka-esque competition where the winners get to attend an exclusive concert somewhere near L.A.?

Haven't heard about a regular tour...
 
He started his run of Musicology gigs in Madison Sq Garden the day after I left NYC.
Can't believe how badly I timed that. I was there for well over a month ffs! :cry:
 
He's Genius - With pervert tendencies....

One of my friends is in the artwork for the "Most Beautiful girl in the World" CD / Record cover. She entered the competion on Prince's website and was one of the fifty girl he chose to feature.

She was asked to go to the states with a friend for the photo shoot & to meet him.... I wasn't the friend she chose :cry:

She said he was lovely and charming....and tried it on with many of the girls...8O

Not listened much after Diamonds and Pearls....
