Pretty Funny Stuff

This is hilarious; well sorta. My boss comes in this morning telling me that her daughter was at a gas station this morning where after filling her car she goes into the convenient store. Apparently, when she leaves her wallet on the seat in plain sight. When she comes back, her wallet is long gone, and of course she is sweating bullets.

Well she goes to her folks all crying; they console her and they take the necessary steps (canceling her credits cards, etc.), and then when her parents head off to praise the lord. Well, when they head home, they find that the police is at their place, in their house. When they go in they are approached by the detective who tells them that they arrested a couple of folks who were trying to cash her daughter's checks as their own. When the police came to their house, they saw the doors wide open, and on entering the daughter's room they saw that everything was topsy turvy. The police were about to make the site a crime scene, but my boss had to embarrassingly explain that it was their daughter who left the doors open and that her room was a mess, rather than being ransacked.

I just though that it was funny that the room must have been in such a mess that the cops could not make out the difference between a messy room and a ransacked room.

I think they would have rather it been ransacked than just dirty cause then they would have something to actually do...much more fun for them to make it a crime scene, no? ;)

I am so jealous of people that can go to mommy and daddy...although there is pride in taking care of yourself...it is DAMN HARD when you are a student! I have been a student WAYYYY too long

Tell me about it! I look at that and then I look at my dad, who told me when I started university, which was 3 months after I had landed in the US for the first time ever,

"Son, you want to learn the American way of life? Here is 6 months money for tuition, fees and room and board." The rest you have to learn to manage it yourself. It was very tough going to school full-time and working 40 hours a week, and graduating in just under 5 years. It feels great that I did it on my own, but a little help would have been nice.

I'm at the point in my life now when I'm the one helping my parents out.

It's a tough transition... and it sucks up a lot of what would otherwise be savings.

if they see my room, i bet u the FBI will be all over it lOl
!

but yeah, it sucks canceling ALL the plastic within u and obtaining new ones :? its a pain in the ass :? ... last year, just landed in ibiza! went to an ATM, put my card in for some cash, and poofff! no money and no card  shit happens when ur not ready for it, and when u want it to happen! NO CAN DO.. god's game i guess lOl

It would have definitely been a more efficient use of tax payers' money :? . Then again, City of Carlsbad seems to have quite a bit of money now, even though the San Diego County is on the verge of bankruptcy 8O .
