was speaking to some random dutch geezer in turnmills on saturday and it turned out he was a huge fan of tiesto. I told him he had sold out in a big way, but he weren't having it.

There's been lots of 'funky house' bashing on this forum recently.
Can someone explain how the likes of MAW, Hardsoul, Latin Project, ATFC, Puzique, Deep Swing, Kathy Brown, Babs Tucker and pretty much everything on Soulfuric can be distinct from this genre?

Are the 'cool' people trying to tell me I'm not part of the gang and funk is dead? :roll: :lol:

Who gives a funk what the apparant new flavour is or it isn't? People who flick from genre to genre because some prick says it's now cool or uncool want slapping. Grow up FFS I say.
 
I just think it's bizarre how people can write off an entire genre in one fowl swoop...particularly when it never really existed in the first place!
