I was just wondering if its better to buy entrance to a club at the door or pre-pay? if we buy tickets before are they cheaper? do we get in through a separate entrance? We're trying to go out as much as possible, to the best parties, for as cheap as possible - but the one thing we are willing to pay for, if we have to, are clubbing nights and drinks (although i heard its best to go to the supermarket and predrink - right?)
Thanks for all the help

tickets

Hey, i went to ibiza a couple of years back, going again this summer in july. I'd say get tickets a day or two before from one of the music stores in san an or ibiza town, e.g pacha shop in san an. Flyers usually get you a few quid off as well, and a free drink which is useful when you see the prices for the drinks in the big clubs! 8O If you don't get pre-paid tickets in ibiza there's no such thing as a sell out they just keep selling tickets-so you'll get one on the door for 5 quid or so more. It's a great place, great atmosphere and clubs.

id always get the tickets before you get to the club, they will be a bit cheaper and like preciously said you will often get a free drink with them.

You can pre-book tickets but i wouldnt bother planning too far in advance cos believe me your plans for which club youll be going to will change so many times while your out there.

As for the drinking before hand question, I would strongly suggest it.

Drink prices in clubs are extortionate...expect to pay around 8 Euros for a very small bottle of water!

Last September in Pacha - 1 v. small bottle of water and one "no name" bottle of beer = 18 Euro.
Previously I was pretty philosophical about the prices and didn't really care but last year it really p!ssed me off.

I remember in 2002 buying 2 Double vodka and Red Bulls at Bar M...

... 8O 8O 8O 8O Cant remember how much it came to, but thinking about it now, it must be around 30 to 40 Euros? :?

Imagine the prices in Pacha for that round. Ouch!!

No doubt some people on here pay those prices, but when you consider you can book a return flight to Ibiza for less than 2 drinks in Pacha, it becomes a bit silly.

Sure does....actually really pisses me off!

Dont mind paying slightly higher prices than normal, to maybe keep away a certain 'crowd' ;) , but its become extortionate!

Will be buying most of mine from Supermarkets this year ;)

Im almost sure that a Bottle of Becks was 5quid at Manumission in 02. I thought that wasnt too bad considering its Ibiza and all and it was 4quid for a bottle of carlsberg export in manumission in 97.

The Becks was european size 330ml too! Not the puny 275ml bottles!!!!

Why am I being so observant about the booze and prices in clubs!! Do I need AA..

When you start ordering Shorts is when the horror stories start.........

For the free drink with the ticket I always ask for the most expensive drink (normally Scotch - Johnnie Walker) I can see on the bar!

the price of drink is in clubs is fawking scandalous, don't mind paying big bucks to get in, but surely the drinks could then be someway affordable, even water alone!

It's cheaper to buy tickets beforehand. But if you are going to very popular night (closings/cream) it might be good idea to buy tickets from the door. The que can be couple of hours long and you might not want to wait that long...

the longest i have ever que'd for is ten minutes in august.

if you can be bothered it is probably a good idea to pre-buy tickets. Its not the 'norm' anymore to get free drinks with a pre pay ticket (it used to be, years ago).

Last year there was huge que @Space Closings and @DC-10 closings. It was impossible to get in. And the night when Danny Tenaglia was @Pacha they did stop selling tickets (I was already in 8) ). I have been waiting long times also @Manumission, Cream and We Love Sundays.
