Post Ibiza Depression

If you felt like i did n had my probs or the other blokes probs u clutch at anything believe me! Turns out she was a useless cow n was as much good as a limp d**k.
What would you suggest? Seriously? You're obviously a strong person, Im not!
Now saved £229k for the house. Have to now wait for my blokes EVR MONEY and the sale of this house n we are away.

I've been back 2.5 days now and my depression isn't as strong as last year's. This time around I had a much long trip and was able to visit more beaches and see more sites, but I feel it coming with my work day tomorrow. People aren't as friendly here in Toronto, as in Ibiza. Like right away outside the airport some young punk asks me for a smoke and I give him a Fortuna one from Ibiza, and tell him where it's from and he's like "where the f***'s that". Ughhh. Even Mike Posner's dumb track that's playing on all the pop stations here didn't do its job properly. The music scene is less accepting here and not as open as well, with various levels of disrespect coming from those I've supported and been friends with in the scene here.

Anyways, I have a counselling session setup over the weekend. Wish me luck.
I wish you luck

You're ok - you're already there!!!! I think...... Ha
Believe me we arent rich- we sold an old farmhouse n got lucky. Before that we was on our arses financially. Where r u? Uk? Usa? Shitty Cornwall?!!! Urghhh

Ps We wont take a penny from the Island what we havent earned. We arent scroungers. It will be a new life for us n our girls (11 &13) so thats why we need enough to live on without my bloke having to work! 32 years getting up at 4am n ending at 6pm - thats why he wants to be able to never work again. He is 50 this yr n if Ibiza fails theres always Denia!

we are eventually moving there but my patrner wants to work just that bit longer so we get it right n dont run out of money.

Better not wait too long - once Article 50 is triggered rights to reside may become much harder - especially without an employment contract backing it up and a private health insurance policy. If you're thinking of moving to Spain from UK probably best not hang around too long.

Yea we thought of that now we are out the EU has messed things up.. I think ot will be buy now and holiday there and move when we can asap. Thanks

correct - it's really hard to qualify for a NIE (id card for foreigners) without private medical insurance. The Madrid govt beefed it up to make sure foreigners (non-pensioners) didn't take the piss out of spanish social security. foreigners (without a lot of savings) looking for contract jobs eg teaching are in a tight spot because without a NIE you are kippered and it will only get harder now for Brits

ibiza66 - I think you'll likely need to register for a 'Resident' status and become Spanish resident for tax in order to hang onto rights to healthcare.

Can you tell me if getting an nie number online ok? Its expensive but I need to know if they are actually legal? Ive been doing Law for 3 years but know nothing on Spanish law! Advice please kind people!! Its only to buy a property as a second/ holiday home as we can't move permanently yet. Thanks for any advice!! I don't want to fork out and find the nie no I have isnt legal. Its a fuss getting a notary and POA etc but still cheaper & more easy than flying over just for that. Thanks
