Very scary

Very interesting read. I'm glad I got to witness & enjoy Diynamic Outdoors before Beachouse got shut down. It was by far the best party I had been to.... such a shame. I do wonder that if it was a paid event, would it still be open?

How true.

'Beachhouse is parked in the middle of Playa d'en Bossa—a long stretch of beach on the island's southeast coast that has a reputation for drawing seedy British tourists.'

on beach parties, we've also touched the subject in our season review.

article on the subject --> http://magazine.ibiza-spotlight.com/issue040/37/

and a bit of personal opinion --> http://magazine.ibiza-spotlight.com/issue040/15/ (scroll down a bit)

funnily enough, this summer very few afterparties in villas got stopped by the police. this just shows that if you do a good job (keeping it low key, only do it a few times and don't try to make a business out of it), you can absolutely still do outdoor parties here without actually going through the whole bureaucracy thing with getting licenses. but if you're a label or an artist and you want to do something every week, then just do a club night, period.

Pretty sad you can only party on the beach or before 4pm a few times a summer with a small crowd.

I wonder why the beach clubs just don't get the proper licensing? I'm guessing it's too difficult or expensive to make it worth while.

In related news, the new balearic goverment has announced more controls to the beach clubs starting next season. Same with the boat parties...

Is this the end of Ibiza at the end of 2016? #usualearlyseasonworries

it's not all about the parties. in past years some of those beach clubs downright invaded and completely occupied some of our beaches. meaning that they've occupied a lot of the public space they're basically not entitled to, have put more sun loungers than they're allowed to etc. as a tourist you might not mind, but as a local I really don't like that on some of the beaches there's hardly any free space left on the sand where I can put my towel. that's one of the things they want to control and I honestly can't see anything bad about that.

away with all loungers at sa trinxa and reduce them at least by half at cala bassa. and I love CBBC, but it's grown like a cancer.

exactly. and especially cala bassa (cbbc) is an awful example of how to simply destroy a beach that used to be for everyone.

Yeah I agree more of the area could have been freed up if that beach club got rid of their loungers, but I truthfully didn't have issues finding space but this was in June. I'd imagine later in the season it could get rough.

I was speaking more in regards to places like Beach house and No Name. Unless those places take away alot of beach spaces, I would still want their to at least parties to continue...

Lol - I went to rumours at beachouse and I have never seen so many posers in my life......

We had one drink, thought we were going to be bankrupt, and headed off to Bora Bora which was actually pretty decent.

To be fair a beer at beachouse was 5 euro when I went in June and a beer was 9 euro in Bora Bora, if anything Bora Bora would bankrupt you first

Um - we got a bottle of grey goose....was a stag do. For a group of 17 worked out at 45 Euros for two drinks.....

I felt bora bora was a bit more of a "scuzzier"/party atmosphere that we could sneak off to the offy...

On the way up the beach we got discount entry to Sankeys for viva warriors which made the night!
