*** Police at Amnesia (right now) ***

Word on street is amnesia is closed tonight. Nothing official yet, although the together pr's for amnesia have been sent home from work just now.

Amnesia themselves still promoting tickets an hour ago on Twitter...

Even if the individuals are guilty of tax/drug crimes, nothing to say the club won't continue to operate.

I'm sure @stivi will confirm things once he is allowed to/willing to - massive blow to the island if they enforce a closure at this stage of the season though

Amnesia Open Rooftop Terrace To Local Police

Legendary Ibiza nightclub Amnesia have opened up their brand new rooftop terrace, exclusively to local police.

Amnesia, known as the favourite party destination of the Spanish police, have reaffirmed their long running relationship with local authorities by giving the police a place to relax and enjoy the club’s facilities away from the hustle and bustle of the main room and terrace.

Club spokesperson Hans Ubb spoke to Wunderground, “Amnesia and the police in Ibiza share an extremely special relationship, for years we’ve worked hand in hand to ensure that everyone who comes to the club has an enjoyable and safe time.”

We really wanted to show our gratitude to the police so we decided to refurbish our roof and open up a brand new rooftop terrace that will be completely exclusive to members of the Guardia Civil and the Policia Local,” continued Mr Ubb. “We wanted to create an environment where officers would be able to relax away from the hordes of tourists who want to shake their hands for doing such a fantastic job of keeping them safe.”

Mr Ubb also claimed that Amnesia have launched a brand new, secret, afterhours party on the rooftop terrace.

We’ll be running a new weekly party for the officers, it’s called ‘Raid’ and it’ll take place after Cocoon every Tuesday morning,” explained Ubb. “We had our opening party this morning and it was a huge success, all of the highest ranking officers came, some of them even arrived via helicopter. I can’t wait to do it all again next week.”

According to reports, a select group of Amnesia employees, including owner Martin Ferrer, were invited to an exclusive afterparty in police headquarters  in Ibiza town after the club closed its doors.
