Last year, as many other years, many hectares of forest were lost to carelessly thrown cigarettes or not properly extinguished bbq fires with results like I came across last year

The scars of really serious fires near Ibiza/Playa d'en Bossa are still visible, must be best part of ten years after the inferno.

hmm mseems like someone schould be more careful anout driving. So many people get killed on the San Jose road due to drinking-and-driving or basically being intoxicated by drugs!
