Planning a trip for last week June 2005

My gf and I are from Pennsylvania in the U.S. We are 25 and 26. We found some dirt cheap tickets online $506 pp to fly from NYC to Ibiza for one week late in June. I know this isn't a lot of time to spend on the island, but we need recommendation on hotels. We will be partying hard, so anyplace near ibiza town or Playa d en Bossa will be good. We are looking for 100 Euro max per night as exchange rate with U.S. dollars is bad right now- thanks to you know who.

How is hotel de la Puerto? Doesn't seeem to bad for 80E per night. Where is the main drag in Ibiza town? What street is it called?

Is the open beach party at Playa d en Bossa gonna be open for 2005? I read there were noise problems with the residents. Are there other places to go where you can party on the beach like that? My gf is fairly open so anything goes.

Those airfare tickets seem pretty reasonable. Do you mind letting me know who you are getting quotes from? We are going in September and the cheapest we can find out of Texas is about $709pp.

As for hotels, check out the main spotlight site: http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/hotel-guide/ They have reviews on there as well.

We know what you mean about the weak dollar. I'm hoping it starts gaining some strength this summer.

Yeah! The quotes are good. I'm paying $1,059 for Miami to Ibiza.
June 3 - 11th with Iberia
Which travel agent or online service are you guys using?

Hopefully the dollar gains some strength by summer time.
When I was there last year it was at 1.18 against euro, now its like 1.32

Airfare from the U.S.

I got the tickets from www.cheapair.com. Flight from JFK in NYC to Ibiza on June 24th, to return July 1st, costs about $525 which is really good. If you search earlier or later dates, or attempt to make the trip longer, the cost goes up dramatically. I'm not sure why its that cheap for those particular days.
This also might be stupid question, as I've only flown outside of the U.S. once to the Bahamas, but do you need a passport to go from the U.S. to Ibiza?
Also, will the PLaya D En Bossa open beach party be goin gon this year?

I'm still debating on hotels- either El Puerto in the middle of Ibiza town, or Club Playa D En Bossa on the beach.

Very good Prices!

Yes you need a passport, depending on which airline you go with...you will probably stop first in Madrid then Ibiza, no?

I Stayed last year at the Club Playa D'en Bossa, Great location right in front of Space, about a block away from Bora Bora. Very friendly staff and clean rooms.
I believe there is going to be music, just with more restriction on the volume and time...

There are three of us going now, so I guess Club PLaya d En Bossa it is. HOtel El Puerto doesn' t seem like they do three people that well.
I'm going to wait a few weeks to see if the exchange rate comes down to book the hotel.
I have my passport but my gf and her cousin need to get theres.

So for access to the clubs in genereal (we will try to hit 4 or 5 in our one week stay) would Hotel El Puerto be better or Club Playa D en Bossa?

I found PdB to be pretty convenient for getting to the clubs. Not as much as downtown Ibiza, of ofcourse (you can walk over to the port and grab the boat shuttle to El Divino/Pacha) but convenient to Bora Bora (if it'll be back this year) and the beach.

I've stayed in San An, Talamanca (near Ibiza Town and on that same boat shuttle route) and PdB and I enjoyed the latter the best. It seemed easier to be able to walk to the beach and back and then travel to the clubs then vice-versa. And there's club Space within walking distance in PdB. Plus a lot more cheap places to eat.

I'm planning to be there around the same time... drop me a line closer to the date.
