Places you haven't been yet...

we went to formentera last june and it pissed down.

then we were dropped on the rocks and were blown away by the gale force winds. Pups - try building one up on the beach with sand and rain blowing all over!

I want to return again as i could tell how beautiful it was despite the crap weather.

Cos you took the wrong ferry
If you took the ferry from Platja d'en Bossa (or sant Antoni?) it drops you in a beach, very nice beach, but you are stuck there for the rest of the day cos there's no bike-mopped-car hiring, nor bus service and try to get a taxi there

The ferry that drops you at La Sabina, Formentera harbour, leaves from Ibiza Town

The ferry that leaves from Figueretas has stops both at the beach (Ses Illetes) and the harbor at La Savina.

If I remember correctly, for the beach stop they let you off on the rocks at the edge of the island of Es Palmador and you walk across the channel (which is only about 20cm deep) to the beach on Formentera.

As for places I'd like to see, basically the whole northern third of the island. I've been to Portinatx once, but aside from that haven't explored any of the other towns, nor the beaches north of San An. I'd like to spend a bit of time in Santa Gertrudis as well.

I LOVE Formentera, such an unspoilt pretty Island, we stayed in Es Pujols (sp) last year and it was heaven (until Italy won the world cup as 90% of the holiday makers where Italian!) Got some very funny video footage of us nearly mowing one poor fella down as he celebrated in the middle of the road. :?

Formentera Full

According to Italian travel agents, Formentera has already sold almost all of its hotel beds for the months of July and August.

The Italian market will again dominate this year, with travel agents confirming that the island is one of the most popular destinations in Europe.

However, hotel owners expressed their surprise at the news, explaining that they were yet to receive these bookings. The president of the Hotel Association in Formentera lamented the shortness of the season, and confirmed that although 90 per cent of the hotels were now completely open and running on full-staff, the season would really not get properly underway until 25th May. She explained that both May and October remained difficult months for the island.
