hey yall, i'm new to the boards and am visiting my brother in london in sept.(i live in san fransisco) and while i'm there i figure ibiza would be a good place to celebrate my 21st b-day which is on sept 20th. i was looking at hotels and apts in ibiza town but my brother said that i'm better off renting a villa. i allready know i dont want to be in san antonio for various reasons but theres only gonna be 3 of us. would a house/villa for 3 be ALOT more expensive than renting an apartment or hotel room for the week? would would you guys do in my situation?

is it nice in the bay? i've heard that san antonio is basically just a bunch of rowdy kids looking to get drunk and fight but i dont know from first hand experience. but is that only in the TOWN of san antonio? i want to stay some place that has some cafes and bars but isnt too rowdy and i can relax. i'm definetly gonna be hitting up a few clubs but thats only a cabride away and i dont wanna be sleeping next to any

Ive been to ibiza a few times, but thats just been with my perants, to Es Cana, ... which is suitable for moist ages, ... young kids ... early teens and adults

Im going to the bay in June with some mates, and its ideal for me, becuase im in the same boat as you ... wanting both worlds, and in the bay you do have the best of both worlds from what i gather as both quiet bars and big clubs are close but yet futher enough away not to be effected if you fancy a quiet night ... its my first time to the bay in June though, so i guess i can let you know

You might like Playa D'en Bossa.. got a lovely beach, Space is there and it's close by to Ibiza Town where Pacha and El Divino are. It's what quite a few younger people tend to choose if they don't want to stay in San An, though there is a few families also. San Antonio Bay is more family orientated but 15-20 minutes walk from San An town bars etc. San An isn't too bad.. well obviously us Brits are kind of used to the rowdy drunkards and are less likely to be shocked by it (because us brits mainly make up the rowdy drunkard contingent), however much we don't like their behaviour - but it serves a purpose if you decide you want a night out with cheap drinks when having a break between big clubbing nights (and extortionate prices). Also the sunset strip is in San which is a lovely place to chill out either early evening, pre-club or all night if you are again having a quieter night. We chose to stay in San An this year for all the reasons i mentioned above, but tried to get apartments near to the sunset bars because it's a quieter end of town (not so near to the main bar strip) and it's good to be able to walk down whenever you fancy it.
Of course if you really don't want anything to do with cheesey bars, however fleeting, than avoid like the plague! In which case I'd recommend Playa D'en Bossa. But make sure you come at least once to see the sunset.
Oh and yeah I'd say an apartment is the cheaper option for 3 people... Try the Jet apartments close to Bora Bora beach bar in Playa D'en Bossa, details are on this website. Not stayed there myself but positioning is good. And try not to be put off British people if you do see any such rowdy agressive dispays, we're not all like that! :)

Hi Shaun, my 21st is September the 21st ;) and i too am planning to grace the white isle for it also.
I would reccomend trying to find an apartment/ hotel as i think it would work out much cheaper. Lots of appartments cater for three with twin beds and sometimes a fold out sofa for the third... its worth having a look around :D

thanks for the help guys. i'm not put of by british people at all, i'm british born and lived there till i was 8 and most of my family still lives there, i'm just more into the relax mode while i'm on vacation. yeah i've been looking at the jet apartments, they look nice and not too bad price wise. thanks again for the help guys!
