Places to live around Heathrow / Outskirts of London

Esher is not bad. Close to Heathrow and M25. Also 25 mins into central London by train. A few good little bars and restuarants as well.
Also take a look at Hampton Court and Molesey.

and the outcome was...

West Molesey - Next to Hampton / Kingston and a lovely place it is to :D

£995 a month for a gorgeous spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom flat :D

Glad I don't live in London!

My mortgage is a quarter of that for a 2 bedroom flat. No extra bathroom, but I do get a good-sized garden.

Enjoy your love nest. :D

To what Vic?

Having moved back to zone 4/5 since this thread, I'm performing a complete volte-face and declare that the 'burbs are where it's at!:p

Im lost as to what the hell you mean lol

As of the start of June i will be living in West Molesey - im sure know one has really heard of it, hence why saying its near Hampton etc 8)

I know it! me ex used to live there with her parents for a while. Trains can be a nightmare but i think you drive most of the time??? some nice pubs on the river near Walton when the sun's out

I knew Chewie would let that one go...

We're moving to the countryside mate.

One bugglery, one attempted bugglery, one riot, endless streams of rubbish left on our wall, a house which was 'tarted up' for a quick profit by idiots who were good carpenters and crap plumbers, in an area which is neither near ealing or (within workable distance transport wise - takes bus 20mins to get to Ealing Broadway) to justify the cost of living.

Especially when you can get twice the charm, twice the house, for the same money.

8)

don't get me wrong, i like the ealing area. just not this bit, and the bits near the broadway are out of our reach.

I know east and west molesey fairly well and your only a few mins in either direction from hampton/hampton court or walton on thames.

I love that part of the country. I think the location is superb, with easy access to the capital, but there's still loads on your doorstep both culturally and amenity wise.

It is predictably expensive to live though as its a very affluent area. Wouldn't have it any other way though. Can't beat a trip to Kingston!
