Pin Up

McRackin did a post on this a while ago. It would appear that it has closed for good. Official reason is that local residents complained. general consensus is that the disco mafia have struck again

Also the fact that appartments for which planning permission has existed for at least a year are being built next door. So the terrace will not be able to open (unless it is enclosed) due to noise.

Without the terrace, Pin-up is just Konga.

unfortunate - it was a beautiful space - but probably for the best considering the people behind it.

the owner - a rather tacky man - had some questionable programming ideas that he wanted to enact....

que??

The big clubs in Ibiza effectively work together to stamp out any little upstarts who might threaten their monopoly

so you mean the Sync Bedroom Parties could be under threat, due to their burgeoning popularity, in the coming season....? 8O   ;)

you wanna watch out Synch....I actually only though of the phrase "So....Balearic" and two goons jumped in my bedroom window and threatened to kill me.....

I remember seeing two topless women rubbing UV paint on one-another there.

That night ElektroChurch was set up by a friend of mine. It was one of the most quality nights as for music.

I'm sad to know Pin Up will not be open. The terrace had a great vibe on Monday evening besides being large. Why do they have to pay for the apartments which are being built beside if they were on there years before?

Apart from it, as I said some months ago, I noticed that if you stood up between both Pin Up and the hotel Mare Nostrum, the music from the pool party at the hotel sounded higher than the one from Pin Up, because the terrace of Pin Up is pretty lower than the surrounding ground. Plus, who would they have disturbed if the terrace was on till midnight?
