If I saw FBS at Pikes it would completely ruin things for me, I’d never be able to unsee it. Each to their own I suppose

So far we've invited Fatboy Slim, David Morales, Goldie and Dan Ghenacia to host their very own intimate night in Freddies as part of our Pikes Presents series. It's safe to say these events get better and better, with the artists given full reign to take their crowds on a journey through the music they love.
This week, we welcome one of our favourite French masters of mischief and music, Myd back to Freddies after his epic debut last year. The Ed Banger producer, singer, sound engineer and DJ makes his welcome return to the white isle on Tuesday August 15.
The following day, on Wednesday August 16, we welcome DJ, musician, director, filmmaker BBC Radio 6 Music presenter and all-round cultural icon, The Rebel Dread aka Don Letts to Pikes for his highly anticipated Freddies debut.

Another conversation with... Myd
"When I felt the energy of the island, especially through the Pikes spectrum, it was like meeting a new friend, I was so excited about the party, and being here, but mostly because I knew It was the beginning of a new adventure for me."
Read our latest conversation with Myd ahead of his soiree in Freddies.

Is Pikes strict for age? On the email for tickets it says 25 and above (and then 27 and above further down). I’m over 27 but my girlfriend is only 24…

All I can say is, I arrived with a group of 7 last night. 5 were under 27 (mixed 25 and 26). We were inititially denied entry until we put a call into a contact
So off the back of that experience, I would say they are enforcing it.
Perhaps the fact we were a larger group and it also being a very busy Friday (Flash) didn't help

Guy Williams played one of my favourite retro Maceo Plex tracks in Freddies though - great night musically

Has the over 27 policy helped with the vibe?

Friday was so much fun! Spent the whole time just dancing right at the front.

Flash on the cards for Friday 15th Sep.. Guy is one of my favs

They need to strictly enforce the age rules otherwise it would get overrun by kids (ie hell). Ages are generally easier to enforce with locals because everyone carries a wallet-friendly id card by law whereas Brits hate carrying passports out so no easy task for the venue.
