He was being sarcastic, as was I. I've known people who made the same decision as me and then not stop, and a couple of them aren't around anymore. As I said, one of the most stupid things I've ever done but at least I was lucky.

I have seen, as im sure you have, some really chilling things as a result of it and i dont think its something light hearted.
 
Aww I love pete, he is a brilliant songwritter and a beautiful poet.
It's s*$t that his drug addiction is the reason the media are interested in him. I really hope he kicks it and is happy.
Everybody deserves a chance!

It just seems like wow, its so rock and roll yet over the summer being a beach lifeguard along the seafront I came face to face with the reality of it- finding heroin addicts colapsed in the toilets after O.Ding, finding their needles under the pier where the kids play, one trying to hang himself from the shelter and seeing them steal from the tourists to get the next fix. Not exactly rock and roll. :?

Agree pretty much, although I see it as more of a shame as (although I'm not into his music) I hear he's obviously talented.

At the end of the day, it's hard to respect musically someone, who whenever he's written about is refferred as "Heroin addict Pete Doherty..." It kind of questions if he's famous for being a druggy (haha, oh how I hate that word!)

And how much of a pr1ck is Kate Moss? After her 'bit of rough' I guess.

And I suppose he's the media's 'bit of rough'?

Pete Doherty is one of the greatest musicians of our time... sadly he's also just another one in the long line of talented musicians who are also drug addicts. I really hope he sorts himself out, if he dies from drug abuse it will be yet another waste of a great talent :evil:
