People that go and know T-Bar (in london)...

I should be going tonight, although I'm currently sat twiddling my thumbs in an office in Luton waiting for a client to produce some paperwork. Grrr! Very, very f**ked off at the moment.

Didn't make it, not been home long. Bugger.

Be quick tho because the police are clamping down on all clubs in the area. My money is on the area being pretty dead in a couple of years.
Trailer trash are experiencing loads of problems and part of the reason why the T Bar shut not long ago was because of a council/police crack down.

It's a bit sad really.

Please dont make me cry! I just moved there!!!!! My hopes of messy evenings and days followed by a short stagger home are being dashed?!? Say it aint so......say it aint so!

And im still stuck at work because I spilled orange juice on my computer and hadnt saved anything onto the network

Indeed, don't make 'The Latch' cry! That would be a 'Tragedy'!;)

It's fine - it'll just move further east. Property moguls have snapped up all the former art/music studios around there anyway so the good bits are already moving into Hackney, Limehouse etc.

I'm not worried anyway. The Old Blue will still be great on Monday!!! (you should definately go if in the area)

Since when was Hoxton Sq any good anyway??? It's full of tw@ts.

I was in the T building today for work. I think Soho house is building it's Shoreditch version on the roof, complete with swimming pool... can anyone confirm this?

That's exactly what I heard.

Combined with the report in The London Paper last Thursday of all the 'new underground places people were hanging out (due to the Bridge and Tunnel massive invading all the traditional Shoreditch places), complete with pictures and links to these new places, just had me pull a massive    face!

I'm certainly not Shoreditch's biggest fan (though last night was really good!) but it's always a shame to see these sort of places get socio-economically gentrified (!), and lose all shape of it's original form that made it the place it was.

But yeah, T Bar was a hit. Music was spot on as far as I'm concerned. Not sure whether it's me being blinkered, though I genuinely don't know anyone who can play electro house and make it sound as good and as driving, (without being cheesy), as Tiga.

Good to see the standard unspoken Shoreditch dress code (described only as "Look At Me") style still hasn't been shifted from the place ;), though for the first time ever, I actually felt old in a nightclub (well, bar)!

I read about that too. So sad :( So many people (including me) are going to be evicted out of their homes because big developers are buying all the old warehouses and studios and to redevelop into tiny soulless apartments. Grrrr

Dan - I remembered on the way home from work last night where we saw Tiga last and it was in Pacha Ibiza yes? We were just about ready to leave because Yousef was rubbish and Tiga came on and we loved it ;-)

Quite.

Absolutely transformed the night into something rather special in my eyes. I've got loads of amazing recorded live sets from him that have been mp3 player mainstays for a long time.

We were sooo disappointed with Tiga that night at Pacha - nothing like his normal sets at all. It was just a shameless poppy album showcase. He may as well have whacked his cd on and gone for a drink at the bar.

True - I didnt move to Shoreditch for Hoxton sq tbh but am worried about these "crackdowns" and cleansing of the general area. Certain clubs and warehouse parties in the area is what I am looking forward to and would hate to see those affected.

Agree that there is some good stuff further east (Faces nightclub in Gants hill being a personal favourite  ) but do still think Shoreditch has a lot to offer no?!

Yes, definately.

It's got more going on now than it ever has. The warehouse party thing only really kicked off last november because of the temporary event license thingy that crawled out of the woodwork.

Shoreditch is only reeeeally special on Sundays tho (which is annoying because I'm rubbish at work)

Definately try out the bingo at Corbet Place (8O 8O 8O) and anything at Hearn Street car park. The rest is full of annoying trilby wearing try hards and irritating St Martins fashion students.
