I preferred Oakie in the 1990s in his Cream days

one of his best ever compliations is his mix on that white Cream CD (with nick warren & james lavelle) .... CHOONAGE CITY!!!! 8)

you never know what to expect, nor do you with AArmin, Jules or PVD these days really...

what a load of rubbish.

you go and see these guys and you know your going to hear trance music.

I love trance, I've been to see Paul Van Dyk the last two weekends, he is a trance DJ, but I was pleasently suprised with the amount of techno (ish!) tracks that were played...i was expecting full-on PVD trance the whole time.

If you read mine and Rob's comments we didn't say that he has changed his style, we both said that trance music has evolved but essentially if you want to give DJs a genre then PVD, Oakie etc would come under the category of trance

As always said on here each to their own. But all you ever hear about is trance, trance, trance and it becomes so tiresome. For instance The DJ MAG top 100 (farce).

The following is quoted from an Antony Pappa Global Underground CD :

" The big obvious happy club music has been the way for so long - and i'm tired of it. I'm tired of all the kiddie trance. Theres only so much of that crap you can listen to."

Hit the nail on the head IMO

............... CUE A LAMBASTING FROM ALL THE TRANCE FANS :D

i used 2 love trance music.... it took you on a melodic journey like no other genre could IMHO....
when the track itself told a story & your body just moved in time......
then it "evolved" & i dunno?? :?
i kinda gave up on 'trance' music in "98 personally.....

will have 2 suss PVD when i get there though.
i would like to hear what he is playing now even though i wasn't really all that impressed with 'reflections'

each to their own though :D

ibiza-girlie i'm with u all the way on this one.
:D

I myself am very into all the 3 genres - House, Techno and Trance (and whats in between) :P
