no that's got nothing to do with it. it's a simple reason really: how busy is the place still and how much money is made still, meaning are the bars still busy and (sadly) almost more importantly are there still bottles being sold in the VIP.

more vips for music on, that is surprising ... in the past wasn't cocoon the night for the vips (business people) and people from the island ? Visited music on only once and thought it is a party for the young and wild ... However for me monday is the clear favourite ...

the VIPs follow the parties which are fashion and music on is certainly more 'fashion' than cocoon.

...but fashion doesn't always mean quality ;)

HaHa! I have to be honest though Stivi. As much as I am a card-carrying Cocoon-ite, and in the past have been a critic of MusicON.... last Friday was pretty damn amazing! You do get the sense that MusicON's time is NOW! I skipped it totally last year, so last time I went was September 2013. For me its not a Cocoon Vs MusicON thing and more a ENTER Vs MusicON. Amazingly at the moment I'd go for MusicON......

which is absolutely OK. I know music on is a great party - else it wouldn't be as successful as it is. it's currently easily the biggest techno night on the island and there are plenty of reasons for it. it's not my cuppa tea, but I absolutely see it's simply the biggest tech party of the moment.

I stick to what I said though - the VIPs follow what's hot. back when cocoon was the one big night everyone came, even though they'd never heard of sven, carola, dice, luciano or ricardo before (mind all those were cocoon residents).

Thing I enjoyed most about MusicOn last week was the Main Room, more so than Carola on Terrace! Remember a few dates in 2012/13 and the Main Room had 10 people in it for MusicOn!

Agree about the VIP crowd! A "Tech-VIP" is not quite as annoying and pretentious as an "EDM-VIP" but they are just as fickle and follow the crowd.... and that crowd is at MusicON for-sure!

Exception to this one in a way is Solomun at Pacha. This is one party that seemed in 2013 to be more Tech-VIP (new phrase here)...... but now seems to be a lot more broader in terms of the people its pulling in....Maybe its more that the inverted snobs finally get that Pacha on a Sunday is the best god-damn party in town!
