Parking at Stansted

How do you go about it? I've heard there are sites aound stansted that are cheaper...

Anyone got any pointers?

Depends on how long you're going for. Best bet is to go to www.baa.co.uk and follow your nose for Stansted parking, put in your dates and it will give tou the various options available. It's the best part of 50 quid for a week!

I think it is £7.80/day upto 6 days and then £7.40/day after that.

We paid about £39 for 5 days!

I use the 'holidayextras' website and combine parking at the Stanstead Hilton with one night stay at the hotel.

It can be either at the start or the end of the holiday and costs about 80 quid for the lot I think.

Breakfasts are not included and are REALLY expensive so smuggle in your own grub.

It means that you can get back after the hols and don't have to worry about getting home. 5 min courtesy bus ride, quick drink in the bar and then bed.

Who are you flying with? You can get deals through a lot of the airlines- might be worth asking them.

Most of the flights just redirect you to the same database anyway which is either Short Stay, Medium Stay or Pink Elephant Long Stay. Just make sure you don't leave the internal light on in your car all week as some idiots do. Apparently.

I think £40 is a lot of money that could be spent towards drinks or a nice meal on holiday. Can you not ask a friend or a family member to pick you up and drop you off, just offer to pay for the petrol.

We've got 4 plane trips with next weekend and then Ibiza 2 weeks after and we've got Joeys brother dropping us off once, then my grandad picking us up and then my grandad taking us and then my dad picking us up
