When's the trip Babs?

I can't wait for the Monday Spotlight announcement!!

it would be absolute class if he was gonna propose cos either:

a) if he proposes you'd be pi$$in yourself about this thread and not the fact tom had proposed to you
b) if you talk to tom later about this thread, he will have to do his best "pfffff. No, of course i wasn't going to propose to you, what me - propose?? don't be daft *cry cry*" impression and then he'll be honest and do it anyway and you'll say "of course i'll marry you"
c) he will be thinking you are dropping a hint that you should get married.

so either way, you will be proposed to in paris. congrats in advance sar;)

Like it Russ, nod's as good as wink to a blindhorse in a snowstorm after he's bolted over the spilt milk in the bush, eh? She'll never know Tom's already ordered and collected a Rusty 'special', as it were!;)

Too late for that, we already talked about it last night and said last night that if we go to Paris our respective parents will think we're going to go there to get engaged

For the 500000th x anyone who knows me and Tom know we're not the kind of couple who would get engaged in Paris, so sorry everyone you don't need to buy a new hat just yet

We do believe in marriage and it will happen one day (just not in somewhere as tacky as Paris, it's not really me and Tom is it to get engaged at the top of the Eiffel Tower is it, more likely to happen rolling round the floor of Space licking the floor  )

or Sheffield?

how about the terribly expensive but gastronimically world class 'Le Jules Verne' restaurant on the 2nd floor of the eiffel tower. i think its got a michelin star and you eat 125 metres from the ground8O 8) 8)

jules verne is superb :p

here's the 2 restaurants i often went back to while living in paris : ozo, (37, rue quincampoix) for the amazing atmosphere and inventive cuisine and maison prunier (16, avenue victor hugo) especially for caviar.

Which would you recommend for marriage proposals?

*awaits the "for the 500001st time" reminder from babs*

I think it's Mr B that's got something up his sleeve for the current, all this talk he's coming out with of engagements and such

Nice try Babs. This one's all one way though.

One day for us but years away yet. *cough* We're *cough* too young.

Can I just offer my services as Wedding DJ? From minimal acid techno to "Oops up side your head", I've got it all.

Stuie or Robder for wedding planner?

Tom's got a few years on you so I think it's only polite that we let you do the honours first  ;)

As long as you promise to play something particularly cheesey for the first dance then you've got yourself a booking

Stuie or Robder have already got roles as bridesmaids

Yeah but the me-Tom differential is smaller (I think) than you to Anna. And we're not off to the City of Love.

Promise you'll tell us if he does? You can't say 'yes, as long as you pretend you never asked me here because then Buckley was right'.
