Just so we're all clear, all she had to say about the "new music" to look forward to this season at Foam and Diamonds is her own single :confused: :rolleyes:. So hope you like the vocoder effects hiding the fact she can't sing for toffee - and the inane lyrics, because one thing's a cert - you WILL be hearing this !!!!!!!!!!!

 
To be honest I kind of respect what she is doing! She's sticking two fingers up to us all, and proving that she is completely the same as most EDM DJs. I am a million miles away from this musically, but she is using her personal celebrity, going to a night club and pressing PLAY! Are the likes of 90% of EDM "DJs" not doing the same? In some ways for those of us that prefer underground sounds, this just proves what we are saying - EDM is POP Music and DJs rock up and press Play on the pre-recorded set that some producer has made for them! What is Steve Aoki doing that she isn't doing?
 
^^I'm inclined to agree. People go to these things to hear songs they know played by people they've seen on TV. They are brands, and she has her brand. It doesn't matter what the brand sells, whether its One Direction lunch boxes or tickets to a Paris Hilton foam party, it all makes money.

Of course it's trash, its bilge but hopefully some of those people that go to that foam party will also go to the more music based nights, maybe they'll get into more underground music, maybe they'll be the ones dancing next to you at Cocoon or ANTS or Enter. next season?
 
However, it is paired with a gay night and a hell of a lot of gay guys (thankfully not me) do love Paris, Foam and a few Diamonds HaHa!
 
^^ and a hell of a lot of gay guys (I am reliably informed) don't. They prefer silver studs and leather jockstraps :eek:. Which is probably why Supermartxe appeals to them so much more now Paris has naffed off to Amnesia :D !

I think it sadly says more about the buying public than Paris herself. However, we can all prostitute ourselves to popular demand at the expense of all sense of quality in order to make money. There are those in the world who do that... and then there are those in the world who choose not to and no amount of money would persuade them to change that. I'm pretty liberal in a great many respects but view the oldest profession in the world itself as considerably less morally 'suspect' than commercial prostitution. One typically goes hand-in-hand with need - and the other with greed !

Creating some pseudo-ironic twist in an attempt to validate the creator of this nonsense is unconvincing. To say the least !

Do they? im not sure that is true. the gay people that go on a wednesday are more likely to be going because its latroya
 
I'm in Zante right now. SO quiet on the roads, stupidly beautiful & half the price of Ibiza - loads of boats and kayaky stuff to keep me happy. Forget it for music though. If you want to boogie it'll have to be when I get home or jigging about in the car as every bar is playing ear-splitting shyte. Did hear this on the radio today before managing to sync my phone with the Bluetooth audio - which I turned up to max, remembered all the words (not that hard really is it :oops: ) and self-indulged in poptastic nostalgia the likes of which I haven't known for years. FABULOUS tack :D :


Took me about half an hour to bring it back to mind - as "It's Raining Men" on the hotel bar speakers got into my head and left me mentally paralyzed !
