Palma Majorca For New Years Eve

I need to get out of London for a week over new years and am looking at options. I want somewhere warm, european with excellent nightlife.

Someone recommended Palma Majorca but I have never been there. Is it any good at this time of year?

Would I be better off going to Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia?
 
I've been to Palma a few times for long weekends during the summer but never at this time of year. Its definately one of my fave places along with Barcelona.
