Just found out that we have to move offices next week because some idiots couldn't come to an agreement on a new lease for our current space

I'll be out of town too, which means I've got 24 hours to pack my stuff and then will have to hope it all arrives at the new office in one piece.

All this is conveniently complicated by the fact we've got the office holiday party tonight and an important corporate meeting tomorrow. Grrrr.

Slightly closer to my apartment, which is a good thing I suppose. We'll no longer have a nice view of the Kremlin and the river though... instead we'll have the Christ the Saviour cathedral.

Were not paying any rent on our office space until a number of issues have been sorted by the landlord.

Our air conditioning units have never worked properly and the air humidity is far too high which has resulted in people getting headache's, running eyes etc.

Other issues too which have never been solved so were just waiting for the nasty letter

morby...........have to say i am jealous of you living in mockva (sp?).

actually thinkin about seeing it (moscow) in 2006.........my sis went before and travelled through on the trans-siberian railway to get to china.

M - whats the crack with visas/entry in Russia, don't you (legally) need an invitation or something like that??

Morbyd, so you have views to the Kremlin, aren't you a lucky man? I think you were born sunday!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D, it's a pity you have to move, sure that you would have some great views too. I envy you being able to watch all that beauty all the time.

Mikkak - ya, pretty lucky I guess. One reason I don't want to move.

Grego - I take a taxi to work... taxis are the only cheap things in this city. About 2 pounds in the morning and 3 pounds home in the evening.

As for visas, your best bet is to use a travel agency that has a partner firm here. They'll be able to get you an invitation letter, stand in line at the embassy, etc. For tourist visas I think the process is relatively fast compared to long-term business ones.
