Yes we were over last weekend just went to bars and a great party in pdb on saturday night but didnt stay to long at that.

Indeed. But Tiesto has said in a few interviews in the last six months that he's tired of constantly having to fly from the US to Ibiza every week, he's held a residency on the Island for nearly a decade (if not longer), so can understand that.

Poor guy......imagine the whining he would do if he had a real job:)

Liking the names that are confirmed at Pacha Friday so far:

DJ Sneak
Derrick Carter
Coyu
Geddes
Blond:ish
Mark Farina

What will be interesting is if there is a "headline" name to pull it all together? Pure Pacha during the non-Tong years (2008/09/10) while they had good DJs, IMO never worked as they never had someone to hold it all together (like Tong).

sounds like maybe they are trying to get some credibility back and have at least one night with non 'stadium fillers' and perhaps where its not dangerously packed which everyone moans about

Yeah I can understand that, but hakkasan's seriously deep pockets were probably the tipping point for him.

Vegas clubs have signed pretty much every big name for 18 month residencies this year. The new nightclubs "Light" (SHM's promo team are running it) and Hakkasan have caused a bit of a club war this year over there.

there will be more stuff at pacha this year you and others will like minimarc! ;-)

Wait until you see what other line-ups come out of Pacha! Apart from Guetta, it seems that good music and credibility is what this season at Pacha seems to be about....

Tiesto lost it for me during his change over to electro house. I didn't see him last year while in Ibiza and I don't intend to make it to his one off parties (assuming he actually does them).

I agree.

Also, "#Tag" is that the actual name? I hate it.

I like "La Bomba" loads more!

I look to the likes of nostrum etc to confirm. "#tag" appeared on a DJ booking agency site next to Pacha Friday. So either its just a holding name, or them are actually going to call it "#tag" which is the most insane name ever, and its hard to believe that DJs as cool as DJ Sneak and Derrick Carter could play at a night called "#tag"! :D

Pacha Future is looking good..:D

It really is looking good, and from what I am hearing (but could just be rumour) people will be even more surprised when they see the full line-ups. Its hardly a revelation (just read the pages above), but Pacha does seem to be embracing "good quality music" with more emphasis on quality more than quantity.

I never really got Pacha as a packed out club with SHM and Tiesto (and even Morillo of late) playing dirty filthy electro pop. This is not musically snobbery, as I appreciate these genres at the right time and place, and love or hate these DJs they do produce a quality night - but to me Pacha wasn't the place for it!

Pacha is a beautiful club with decades of history, and works best with pure house, deep house and even techno (after 5AM). Danny did an amazing job bringing the likes of Cadenza to Pacha. Circo Loco musically would work in Pacha (and many of those DJs do and have played there). Deep rolling beats at 6AM in Pacha when the floor is getting less busy, is heaven - there is nowhere like it. And hopefully we get more of that! And it works so well because it still feels like a large house with white washed walls throwing a party, as opposed to a dark blacked wall club like the Space Main Room.

These really are exciting times....
