Pacha reveals 2013 Parties

So let me get this straight.

The Urgells are saying they canned Danny because he's led them down a cheesy, pompous DJ path who demand unreasonable fees. And now they claim to be coming into save they day to return back to their roots even though they have grown to hate this type of music and the people that frequent their clubs.

Danny is saying he moved onto greener pastures and hint that the Urgells are full of ****.

Kinda sounds like Bomba and Vegas stole a bunch of talent from Pacha.

The one thing I think everyone can agree on is Vegas is complete bull****.

Pretty much...Though until Bomba (or Veg...well, will never happen) build/nurture a talent of their own they simply look like chequebook warriors that will simply shell out for the already established populist stuff. Not sure how excited they must really be to have Morillo on board - I assume Roger Sanchez couldn't commit to the season lol.

Can't wait to see the new, renewed 'spirit of 88' (or Spirits of 88€) Pacha and their cheaper entrance and drink prices

It does make me feel young commenting on all this stuff

That layout for Bomba is hilarious. Is "Vip" Spanish for dancefloor?!

and they will put up the drink prices.

MMMM, After last year I know have a different view on drink prices, for me it's not the price but quantity you get in the drink, learning some Spanish helps and the amount you were getting in Pacha last year was good 15 Euro for two doubles is great in book.

Jeez... reading this thread, you'd think the various protagonists are killing babies.

It's just business. Always has been, always will be.

what ?
no !

Sorry but Vegas sucks. Well let me take that back, it's good if your goal is to party with the boys, spend money, get messed up and try to bang chicks.

But if you're looking for amazing music, parties and deep emotional experiences....Vegas sucks.

Nothing too wrong with St Tropez spirit...

What was that you were saying about commercial cheesy electro music?!

^^ This.

^^ And this.

I love Defected & Luciano. And I probably have more time for Morillo than most. But so far it's simply lifting half of Pacha's previously line-up from the best part of a decade. Gonna need to find its own identity, it's own groove. So I really hope they pull something out of the bag with the rest of the line-up.

A risk along the likes of Gerber at Pacha would be a good start.

I guess Dunmore, Cadenza & Morillo were just eager to announce their residencies as early as possible. Let's be honest, some of the worst kept secrets until they were made official.

 yes .. unfortunately, what's left of old Byblos spirit is pretty much confined behind it's own doors these days - St Tropez suffered the same fate as Ibiza as it evolved on several fronts ! Musically, it's never been Ibiza that's for sure !

 - you need to be looking at booking Superfreq with lines like that !

then someone should sue them no? ah they cant coz they were just printing what was actually said.

As a person working in trade, I can assure you, that any journalist worth his/her salt would not print that type of statement on hearsay, rumour or coming from a third party. They would have to go direct to the person named and check the fact.

As its the New York Times, their legal team would not let it go to print without verification.

If they did not check it with you, or somebody speaking on your behalf......it is slanderous material and if I was in your position I would be talking to my solicitor about it.

great prices imo! im guessing guetta price rises means the other parties can be cheaper! i say charge 150 for guetta ;)

Haha! Well said. It's funny how these things go. Personally, I would not go to see Guetta even if they gave me 80 euros.
Given the massive commercial success of Guetta and the audience they are focusing for his night at Pacha they could just as well charge 100 euros and beyond for FMIF. It seems to me it certainly would still be sold out.

I have always liked Pacha very much as a venue. The club is the most beautiful of them all and their attention to detail is unparalled in many ways IMO.
Music wise it has never been a pesonal preference of mine...obviously...even though I have have had good times there. One thing it has though and it's where I always find myself spending the most time is the funky room. That little room tends to have a groove of it's own and it has never failed me so far. The bars and everything else that follows going up the stairs from there is awesome as well. I have met quite awesome like minded people in those specific "little" corners of the club who also seem to spend their time up there no matter who is the main dj of the night.
