Just got back from the island - flew out for Manumission opening but arrived midnight Thursday so went straight to Pacha. Wasn't expecting much as wasn't a big night - only the residents but OMG it blew me away. The music, atmosphere, decoration - all perfect. Bar staff, bouncers all really friendly.

I'd heard that Pacha was more of a glorified restaurant but that couldn't be further from the truth - it is perfect as a club. Can't wait til I am back in August for Release Yourself.

As for Manumission opening, first time there too and even though it is HUGE and had an awesome time I preferred Pacha. Though would recommend going to Manumission because it is manic and a brilliant experience. Only problems were queues at bars and tils going down for about half an hour.

Really liked Armada too last year. I prefer the 'quieter' nights (if you can call Pacha or Armin Van Buuren quiet) - they are more laid back and no beer boys.
