Has anyone been?

Ive tried to do a search but couldnt see anything, i know this franchise can be a bit hit and miss, but im in NY at the end of the month and i'd like to see Digweed there - what do you reckon?

I've been.

Apparently NY Clubbing isn't all that generally, thoguh I loved Pacha - It's on the site of the old (legendary)Sound factory, and definitely worth a visit. If you're only being a tourist there, I'd definitely recommend it.

when did you go to NYC dan?

June last year.

AMAZING place, can't wait to go back.

If my pals didn't keep dragging me to Ibiza, I'd got there much more often (just 'again' would be nice though!)!

It terms of "big room" clubbing, it's the best NYC has right now. That said, isn't an AWESOME club. It's a cool place, but really nothing special. There's lot of bottle service on the balconies surrounding the dance floor and the crowd has always been fairly tame.

Pacha NYC is very different from Pacha Ibiza - there isn't as much spectacle. However, I do believe Pacha NYC gets better musical talent than Pacha Ibiza. Honestly, I hate Pacha in Ibiza.

The mid-sized and small clubs in NYC are really in their heyday right now. Definitely check out Cielo. Sullivan Room and Love also pull good talent. Sullivan Room just re-opened after a massive renovation - it's 10x better than what it was before.

just read this, i thought Pacha NYC was up past times square somewhere. the sound factory became Twilo, which was in chelsea. :?

Twilo was in the location of the original Soundfactory Bar....after Twilo came in, Soundfactory took over the space where Pacha is now....Pacha then replaced that.

Pacha NY is a solid club.....but it does not compare to Pacha Ibiza.
Def check out some of the smaller venues in NY, Cielo is always a good time

Ive got tickets for next weekend at Pacha!!! Starting to get a bit excited now! BUT, im also in the process of packing - what is the dress code at pacha NYC - can you wear jeans? Can boys wear T Shirts? The website isnt very helpful...

Pacha is actually on the site of the second sound factory, on 46th street. Original sound factory on 27th street became Twilo became spirit...sound factory moved to 46th, remained open for (too) many cracked out years, is now Pacha. Sound Factory Bar was on 21st, near Limelight- became cheetah after.

Pacha NYC is the best big room in NY right now, which isn't saying much- all the good clubs are small/midsize (love/sullivan room/cielo). That said, Pacha does a decent job and is definitely worth checking out, although I highly recommend the smaller places too.

Everyone, you are missing my crucial question: WHAT SHALL I WEAR?????? We dont want to get turned away for wearing jeans or bloody trainers, its a bit of a trek to go all that way and end up back in the hotel room with a bottle of Lambrini...

Wear whatever you like- especially if you already have tickets...again, the big rooms in nyc are not as trendy/hip as they used to be- the only people barred from pacha might be large groups of (straight) guys, and the very messy/sloppy- even those groups will prolly get in if they bought tickets in advance. The only places you need to dress for nowadays are the Paris Hilton hangouts- marquee, bungalo, g-spa, etc. - all of which you should avoid like the plague anyway.
