Has anyone seen in the paper about the girl who was dancin at pacha london under a balcony when some fat guy fell off on top of her?? Very sadly, she's now paralised.

How many times have each of us danced under balconies and just not thought of this danger? Maybe I might think about it from now on...

It's not Pacha's fault.

and it's not the 1st time I've heard of someone falling aff a balconey in a club. It happened at slinky in bournemouth afew years ago and (I think) that was fatel.

The paper said the balcony was 25ft high but from memory it isn't, the top of the rail might of been.

Also the rail that stops you falling over is quite high.

Looking at all the clues I would say the guy was dicking around and it went horibly wrong.

That's such a tragic story!
I was at Gatecrasher @ Heaven last week to see PVD who played an absolute blinder & I saw some twat sat dangerously on a rail above the main dancefloor. It's lucky for him that I hadn't heard about that then!

did you notice the go go dancers (female) at the
main room of amnesia?
they often hang just with one leg in the balcony.
they scare me 8)

I find them pretty tacky actually.

At Cocoon, the masked warriors were quite cool, but I really don't see the point of having all this OTT stuff like go-go dancers (no doubt the guys like them though!) or confetti from the ceiling or the cold smoke.

Ahhhh no!! It's pretty!!!

And the ice cannons are especially welcome on Cream nights otherwise I'd just boil in my own juices!!!!

;) ;)

why are you against it?
a night with gogo dancers, performances and
confetti is more complete, i think.
maybe you dont like the female dancers inside,
but what about the male gogos of la troya? 8)

It's nothing to do with their gender, I just personally find it a bit over the top and unnecessary.

I like simple, basic clubs wshere the music does the talking. I don't see why you need extra frills.

IMO, cos good clubbin is an audio-visual experience - otherwise you might as well go blindfolded!
