Pacha Hotel vs Es Vive Hotel

Ok, so El Hotel is overrated and Es Vive isn't even an option.

What hotel or apartment you suggest?

I wouldn't say El Hotel is over-rated, it's just that up until last year they had standard apartments in the hotel plus suites. The apartments were really nice, good size, big balconies, kitchen etc and a reasonable price, then they did loads of rennovations and now it's all just the fancy suites which are pretty pricey.

Is it just you who is coming or is there a group of you??

I'm booking a hotel for two (a friend and me). There'll probably be more friends going, but I don't want to be responsible for booking anyone else's holidays.

This year we rented a villa (12 people) and it was a logistic nightmare to organize holidays for 12 people, 3 cars and a villa. I don't want to do it again.

Have you thought about renting a private apartment, we did that last year and are doing the same this year www.holiday-rentals.com have some really nice places.

Barbie, thanx a lot!, there are excellent apartments for rent on this website. I'll have a look and probably will book there.

Feel free to PM me if you've got any questions cos I can probably give you a bit more info on some of them cos I've looked thru lots of them before we made our bookings.

babs, how much do you typically pay for a week and is it just you and tom or as part of a group?

problem for me is that we need a place big enough for 4 but there can only ever be 2 paying adults (those pesky kids!!:? )

Unbelievable. I've just trolled through 2 pages of idle chat looking for the result of this important match in the Ibiza Hotels 5-a-side football league. Does anyone know who won?
(I had Es Vive down for a shock away win in the office sweep - come on Jason, score a goal)

Grego - give me a shout via pm - I know of a villa which might be perfect for you guys.

I'm glad I found this thread - it's exactly what I wanted to ask in a new thread.

I'm partial to El Hotel - it sounds like a good deal, what with the free entry to Pacha and possibly the events in the hotel. I heard so many nice things about it when I was staying in PDB, so I thought I'd treat myself this year. How big are the rooms?

9 x 6

OMG is that going to haunt me for the rest of time!!

I'm serious this time. Are they really 9 foot by six foot? That's a bit small. LOL

Really - I do want to stay there in August - I'm sure the suites are a nice size and worth the money.

quality x-man, still top of my charts for spotlight gold award, paris you're right - you ain't never gonna live this down, in fact everytime i see a post by you i'm thinkin about 'that' thread!

rooms in el hotel are quite spacious, obviously depending on what suite you get etc but mine was about 20ft long and 10 ft wide with the bathroom area in one corner of that space (incl clear window next to the bath so you can still see the rest of the room:roll: )

I hadn't read this thread before, cracked me up! Apparently, Paris400 was okay with the 9 X 6 dimensions...

9x6 is about the size of my first apartment in the East Village. It's actually a decent size for a hotel room (and a honeymoon in a hotel room - ah ha, ah ha!)

I get a little carried away sometimes.
