amusing diddiness c&p
Diddy was left floored after he tried to crowd surf at a concert and was dropped by his fans.
The rapper, formerly known as P. Diddy, was performing at top Ibiza nightclub Space when the embarrassing mishap took place.
According to revellers, the hip-hop star got so excited during the performance he leapt into the crowd, but instead of catching him they moved out of the way and let him hit the floor.
One onlooker said: "He took a dive from the stage , expecting to be caught by his fans. But no one caught him and he landed with a thud on the floor."
After picking himself up, Diddy - real name Sean Combs - reportedly limped back on stage and carried on.

Is this true? was anyone there? Hysterical

grr! why does my popbitch NEVER arrive any more?!

Sign up again! Popbitch is da shizny.

I heard from a DJ's manager at the airport this year that Pacha and other clubs are trying to break hip hop on the island, and it's because of P Diddy's visit a couple of years ago. Is this true? If so, why, God, why? The rest of the world is already infected with the ghetto fab, why spoil the white isle?

What is your opinion on the popularity of hip hop in Ibiza - do you think it's growing and will replace house? How are the rest of the musical styles faring in your opinion as we go along? Do you think we'll all visit Ibiza next year and think we're in the Bronx? I only saw the island for a couple of weeks and avoided anything hip hop. I get enough of that trash here at home - they never play enough of the good stuff, like the female artists - it's always the noisy, tacky, blinging thugs who can't crowd surf for sh**!!

Theres been some hip hop/r n' b there for a few years now. The global room in Pacha has something on of this type more or less every night.

I don't think it will ever replace house, or get much bigger than it already is in Ibiza- I think its just a way for the clubs to try and expand their appeal a little bit.

...in short no need to panic! ;)

Why are Pahca and other clubs trying to Break HIP-HOP?

Easy!

Money! $$$$$$$$

The whole hip-hop scene revlolves around bling and showing offand so called VIP, flashing your $$$ etc...if they got a big hip-hop scence going think how many of the followers would be buying expensive champagne/blinging it up in VIP in pacha etc...

Thanks, Scoobie, for the reassurance. :D

OMG N8 your'e so right about the showing off and so-called VIP!!! You'd think with all the money they're making now they're learn to have class and not have to show off like 2nd graders. The rich people in the 80s wrote the book on VIP and how to party - the kids today know nothing about it.

Paris - dead right! They're about as classy as tramp on a bench swigging special brew

You can't buy class no matter how much money you have.

I was there at the same party it happened (We Loves Sundays @ Space, 7/8/05), However i wasnt at present when the event itself occured.

THOUGH, A friend of mine was right there when it happened and he confirms it, exactly as described above!

I guess P.Diddy has no luck with the Iberican croud (Try recalling what happened to him last year at Space in August as well where he got booed off stage) :D

Well I guess he shouldn't be so shit then

WHAT 8O I cannot stand Diddy's music, but I don't think it is particularly funny that he got dropped. He could have been seriously hurt! Well since he did not, I guess it is a little amusing to picture

I wonder why he continues to visit the White Isle with year after year of icy receptions??? He should know by now that he and his music don't really fit. Sorry, but if I were at Pacha and suddenly Erick stopped to introduce a hollering Diddy, I would probably kill myself.

My friend who was there told me that he wasn't exactly dropped, but he wasn't caught by anyone either, and just landed on 1 poor guy who was there to brake P.Diddy's fall. So both just collapsed together on the floor, while P.Diddy was on top of this poor guy who hit the concrete :?

My friend said that none were harmed though and both stood right up :D

Don't know whether it's significant or not, but, in the last few months I've noticed a decline in requests for hip-hop & R&B in my residency. :D

Here's hoping it's universal. ;)

I popped in that room in pacha that was playing R&B this summer, it reminded me of those awful London clubs like Trap or click. I made a sharpe exit. I just don't get why they want to introduce it to Ibiza. If thats what people want they should funk off to ayenapa.
