So, now xmas and nye is out of the way. What do we think for the openings? I've penciled in May 26th to 30th for Space and DC10 opening...

I think you're bang on the money sir, The ibiza gran hotel is booked out for the 22nd-25th may for the ims so space opening should be 27th may.

Dates should be released in the next 2-3 weeks but its 70% certain the 24th-30th

Would think there is debate over a Space 2 day party after last years overcrowding. Ushuaia will no doubt have a say in the matter too.
 
I am out from the 23rd-30th - I would have thought the DC-10 party will the be 4th? Usually its later well from my memory. Hope it isnt. Looking at wedding venues so wont be a full on week!
 
Space opening has been on the weekend following the IMS for the last 5 or so years, so seeing as the IMS is confirmed as 23rd-25th May that should put Space opening on the 27th with DC10 opening on the 28th. 8)
 
I've got the 26th weekend booked, If they open earlier then at least by the time I get there they will be open.

What I dont want to happen is they open early June! Then I will be screwed! :twisted:

This will be the first time the opening weekend doesn't fall in a bank holiday in the uk.

Weekend of the 4th of June is ideal, you could do 4 days in ibiza and not take a day off work!
 
I am going from 25th May until 4th June (I have to go at this time because it's when we rent out our flat to Wimbledon tennis tourists for extortionate amounts of money!)

So - I'm not sure if everything will be up and running by then? I am hoping to go to Carl Cox at Space, Circo Loco and Pete Tong at Pacha. What do you reckon? Will these nights be open by then, and will they be busy enough?

The weekend you get there will be very busy club-wise as Space opens on the Sunday and DC 10 on the Monday.

Carl Cox usually plays at Space opening.

Amnesia are not denying it. Have said their Opening Party is yet to be confirmed.

I think it would work great with that weekend of Openings. Only competition would be Bob Sinclar at Pacha, with the Defected Party.
 
fair enough - but it is not confirmed then. I think a staggered opening of the big clubs is better. you can imagine the post-opening lull at the end of june being even longer if they were all to open in May.
 
Yes, but the clubs are talking of extending the season next year, so Amnesia may try it out to test the waters.

I hope they do open but its far from confirmed yet.
