I've just got back from the hospital after being thrown from my motorbike on Saturday morning. My poor bike is in pieces after I lost the front end as I opened the throttle coming off a roundabout onto a straight. There was no traffic around except for the very nice chap who stopped after about 10 minutes and helped me get the bike off the road and took me to hospital. I'm lucky not to be more seriously injured, but I've got a very badly bruised left hand (bloody clutch lever!
), some detatched cartledge in my rib cage (the sensation of my ribs moving freely every time I shift weight or turn over in bed makes me feel sick), and a dislocated and partially smashed right thumb (the bone on the end of my thumb is completely splintered and the doc says it's highly likely I'll never have any feeling in my thumb tip again!). Not the best weekend I've ever had.....
