Are you lot joking ??

It sounds like one of those awful euro-pop records.

That quite easily ranks as one of the biggest piles of steaming dog s***te I have ever heard.

I first heard it when Stu Hirst played it at SO... and there were quiet a few of us that reted it. It is cheesy but so what? I played it at Ministry last Saturday and it got a VERY good reaction. Thing is with Positiva records, they are accessible tunes which the majority of people like but they have a tendancy to go off after a while (but like cheese really ;))

I am sorry , but for me , that is just plain awful.

Surely you must hear the same euro synth and the awful vocal content ?? It sounds like something that would go down well at a school disco.

But if you like it , you like it !

didnt know what track u guys were talking about till i saw the above...

i fooking hate that wobbly voice thing....FACT!

Can I ask a question ...

Right , I know I like different music to most of you - well, different'ish.

But I listen to something like that and just think of really bad house music. Along the lines of stuff a young kid would like after hearing on T4.

Now the question is , do people actually listen to that and think , yeah , thats quality or think no - its nasty but I like it ??

And that leads me to another question - if you think it's nasty but you like it would you be happy to hear that at a club ??

To me , that would be like eating sprouts , taste like c*rap and look like c*rap but I'll eat em anyway ....

Just curious ...

mmm... point 1 - even if its nasty there are sometracks u all ways like no matter how much u try not to...

Point 2 - i wouldnt mind in a club, unless it was out of keeping with the night - mind u, i goto nights where i kinda know what to expect(ish)

Point 3 - maybe u just like breaking wind?

Ok , those replies make sense - but does anyone agree that there are completely different levels of cheese -

something like - say 'Martin Solveig - Rocking Music' - is bordering on cheese but is obviously well thought out , catchy and even I like it.

But the above record is just wrong ...

There are certainly different levels of cheese:

You have the real stinkin stuff _ such as this, anything by Tiesto, played by Dave Pearce etc etc..... This could be categorised as blue stilton.

You then go down a level to the sort of medium cheese camembert/gorganzola. Can't think of any tunes off the top of my head but you know the ones.............. bearable yet laughable

Then you have mild cheese cheddar/mozarella which is where for instance Martin Solveig would come in.

i agree, depends on level of selling out to the money men to blatently expolit a market which if told its good music, will go n buy it... for instance Tiesto - Cheese Comes Again - both cheesy and Crap...that stinks even worse than the pile of old socks my Uni flat mate used to build in the corner of his room... if an unknown did the same track, would anyone care or notice?

As for Mr Solveig, Madan, Rocking Music, Im a Good Man - 3 tracks, all different and original enough.
