hi guys just a quick bit of info..ive never been to ibiza ever and im 30,yes i know appauling behaviour so was just wondering if anyone remembers the late 90s/early 2000s tunes like paul van dyk - for an angel..david morales - needin u...york - on the beach or any tunes out of kevin & perry you know where im going with this etc etc are there any places or djs in ibiza who still play this type of genre or when i arrive for a week will i be hearing the new age rubbish like martin garrix & the new age tiesto..sorry to offend anyone but i just cannot stomach this day n age music.

search the web for 'clockwork orange weekend' (or this forum)
then you get old skool stuff at dance 88/89 in sankeys on wednesday nights. and mondays at es paradis sometimes too (check calendar)

I'm sure you won't hear the music he's after at these events,

Try the west end mate some of the bars will have trance nights,

You won't hear music from 99 in any of the big clubs
 
West end! If you wana see young people falling out of bars and vomiting in the streets! Yes;) the parties that stivi suggested would be good!
 
Paul often chucks in a couple of old anthems at Cream (Thursdays at Amnesia). Give that a go. If you've never been to Ibiza before your senses will be blown anyway but you might hear something you recognise at that night
 
@robevz you need to get to tropi on the west end in San Antonio. It's a specialist trance bar open daily. Mondays at es paradis when Brandon block and Alex p are a club option once a month. The clockwork weekender is definitely worth a look but is a bit more eclectic with music across house, trance, hard house and prog house genres.

I wouldn't be so sure about that mate. Trance was the cornerstone of clockwork for a number of years. Granted it always had a eclectic cross genre programme compared to weekly events now.

Agree re west end. Needs to get to tropi if it's still there.
 
cheers for the input everyone, realistically to solve all this out i should of been born 10 years earlier but it is what it is..i suppose when you have had a few drinks you think everything & everyone is greatanyways but i just keep myself comin back to listening to the oldskool on a regular basis like da hool - love parade nalin & kane the list goes on..as most ppl would probably agree this day & age music is not worth airing but it was worth a try so thanks again =)

in west end i can only advice hush as some djs i support mix there & music was great the day i went there with no djs i knew..
la troya at heart ..
many events play old school house...
the party hosted tuesday with louie vega at Heart
glitterbox on friday at Hi ibz, on of big house music event ..
melon bom events pikes, hi ibiza , nassau ushuaia tower

Yeah sorry to sound like a broken record , this guy is looking for some classic trance, not house

You would probably enjoy a cream night or Eric prydz at hi, but they won't bang out the classics from 99

Glitterbox depending who is playing?

And you can always count on hearing a house classic get dropped at DC10; Circo or Paradise, again depending on who's playing.
 
my number 1 genre to listen to is trance like daniel kandi,dan stone, aly & fila etc etc but for holiday purposes id take the likes of tori amos professional widow..armand van helden - you dont know me..da hool - love parade...stardust - music souns better with you along those lines not necessarily trance but real oldskool tunage but i do understand that time has long gone..maybe i was just praying that atleast one dj specialises in that every year in ibiza plays nothin but 90s & leaves the other big names to play newage in the clubs but all ya can do is ask =)

Clearly not trance but at Glitterbox they played all of those other tunes you mention ...

Mate- there's trance classics nights on at Es Paradis over the summer. Likes of Tall Paul Dave Pearce playing. You'll find what dates they're playing on the party calendar & guaranteed you'll hear the tunes you want to.

ive just coem across an album on youtube with brandon block & alex p called ibiza anthems (37 classic club tracks) right up my street that type of music is exactly what i was looking for
